Why are some of the countries highlighted??
Took a photo of this map at hobby lobby in the US. I noticed that some of the countries were highlighted white. I wondered if there's something this map is highlighting?

Hello! I'm working to write and publish my new TTRPG book sometimes this year or next year. I'm looking for artists who can make some of the artwork for races, locations, vehicles etc. This art would be used for commercial purposes. I have no idea how successful the book(s) will be, but I'm really not in it for the money personally.
I am really inspired by the art style used in the AD&D books From the 1980's and have included some examples. I'm looking for art that shares that same B/W or greyscale look with very sharp contrast, deep shadows, almost comicbook-y? Jeff Easley was the artist behind a lot of it.
I am not an artist and really don't have much of an Idea of how much these things cost, but eventually I'd like somewhere around 40 Illustrations.
If this sounds like something that speaks to your skill, feel free to contact me and I can fill you in more.
Thank you!
Hey there, does anyone have any experience with making a ZXP extension for illustrator? I am struggling to get the ZXP that I made to actually be installed with ZXPinstaller. ive been trying to understand the documentation but it's just super complicated. Thanks
Hello! I am looking for some help with creating a bevel for a logo I'm trying to duplicate in blender. below is posted the Logo. obviously this is low quality but its good enough to show what I am after and I have access to a higher quality version for fine tuning. I'm just getting back into blender so I'm not super familiar. I'm struggle with where to start.
I have already created the top and bottom of what the bevel *should* look like in adobe illustrator and then imported the SVG.
My first thought was to extrude downwards and outwards from the top outline and then connect it with the bottom one if needed. and for section where the extrusion would meet itself i could just adjust and join the lines to keep the correct angle. I'm not 100% how to do this though as I've tried to extrude and scale and it distorts the extrusion.
is there a way to make it so that its extruding from each local point or line instead of the centerpoint of the selection?
another idea was to bridge the lower and upper section by Alt selecting the lines, however this wont work for everything because of the unusual shape of the model
any other ideas are greatly appreciated for modeling this bevel.
Thanks!

Ive tried a few different methods for making the beveled edge
Using a compound path and then applying a bevel to the resulting shape.
This is a decent result, however without being able to fine tune the shape of the inside of the bevel this does not work how I would need it to.
Take this section for instance. the white lines inside of the shape are where I'd like the bevel to end.
This was done with using compound path tool to join the inside and the outside of the section of the logo that is beveled for a small portion. Something like this would work if I could tell illustrator not to bevel one of the sides, or again, adjust where the "center" of the bevel is after applying it, making it a single slope instead of a Triangle meeting in the middle.
The shadows that the 3d bevel tool offer are very important to this piece as you can see in the original logo it's using a sort of chrome-y material and the bevel has shadows and highlights.
Another idea would be using the blend tool, but I don't think that will allow me to use materials and shadows in the same way but I'm not super familiar with the tool.
Final idea would be to import the vector into Blender and just construct the bevel there (I'd really rather not do that.
Any ideas are appreciated!
thank you
I am trying to change this glossy highlight line on the left side of the image that was caused by a crease in the thing I am scanning. Any ideas? I've tried to burn tool as well as messing with the hue and saturation but it seems to not be precise enough for what I am looking for. close tool or healing brush are a decent idea, but seem to be too noticeable for me to be happy with the result.
Thank you!!
Hello! I'm working with a scan of an older papercraft thing. I'm trying to clean up this linework and for the checkered section do a big average for it. I've tried many different methods like blurring it and then colour selecting or changing the exposure to get things to be more distinct. The paper is incredibly thin and flimsey making the scan extra hard to work with, but i doubt a re-scan would change anything. ideally the workflow would look like this:
import image > apply filters > find averages for big colour blocks > isolate the linework and make it clearer (somehow) > convert the nice separated linework and boxes into vectors. done.
but, as you can see, the lines are patchy at best even after making everything B/W and messing with the B/W filter.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
If I must manually select everything I will, but this screen shot is approximately 2% of the whole image.
