For sale Future Vintage 33.5 inch “red wing” catcher mitt

Future Vintage 33.5 inch catchers mitt
Right hand throw
Used , broken in very good condition.

$200 shipped

If you aren’t familiar with Future Vintage let me explain why this glove is so awesome. Justin the man behind Future Vintage, hand makes these works of art in Northern Idaho. Each glove is a true 1 of 1. This particular glove is made from SB Foot Co leather and is very thick and durable, this glove is an absolute tank!

One thing to mention is that this glove’s wrist opening is on the smaller side, hence the longer laces to accommodate an adult hand, other then that, the glove is incredible. Has a great pop when catching the ball and looks great on display and is an awesome conversation starter.

Selling to thin my collection I have it since new and just dont have space for it.

Message me with any questions.
Thanks!

Buckler catcher mitt follow up break in

A little while ago I got this Buckler Catchers mitt from their ebay store. Its equivalent to their phalanx series of gloves. Finally got it mostly broken in. Happy to answer any questions. I really like the glove its an absolute vacuum. Dipped it in water and broke it in with a mallet and put sarna glove condition on it.

Japanese rubber baseball

With the popularity of Japanese baseball gloves an instant observation are “rubber ball” gloves. These gloves tend be geared more for youth players similar to A1000 or Gold Glove elite. This leaves the question, what is rubber ball? As many of us have learned it’s a version of baseball played with rubber that’s meant to be more forgiving and is popular for youth and rec leagues, popular in Japan. I was curious about what these balls are actually like so heres a few pics of an official rubber ball made by Kenko next to a real baseball. When I weighed them the baseball was 5.1 ounces and the rubber ball is 4.9 ounces. These balls are available on amazon, they aren’t cheap but they’re cool to get in hand.

Recent pick up- Buckler Fame Pro 11.75 inch

Recently got this Buckler Fame Pro 11.75 inch glove. Its their top of the line Pro Preferred/ A2K competitor.
Ive been able to break it in and play catch with it a few times.
Made in the same factory as David gloves I think. Made with Japan tanned Texas steerhide.
Leather is very smooth and the palm liner makes the glove very comfortable. Glove feels very durable.
Very happy with it overall definitely recommend people check out Buckler.

Restore Nokona

Just relaced, added palm pad, palm adhesive, cleaned and conditioned my friends Nokona. Not sure what happened with the velcro strapped he bought it used that way. For the palm pad I bought a leather bag from goodwill and cut a palm sized piece and put it in with a bunch of ball players balm adhesive.

A little while ago I saw Walden came out with a 10 inch circumference wood ball that would be a good to to use for break in a glove or even play catch with yourself. The idea is that that wood is heavier then a baseball and smooth so of wont leave markings that a baseball’s laces would. Walden charges $30 for their wood ball. I found one on amazon for $10. Heres the link for anyone interested. I ordered the 3 inch radius one and its a little bigger then a baseball. https://a.co/d/006rAH5M
