Absolute life saver for a heatwave

Absolute life saver for a heatwave

This is my go-to meal whenever a heatwave struck.

I just make a ton of pasta so I don’t need to add any extra heat to my apartment because of the stove.

I dice cherry tomatoes, a cucumber, a few pickles and add a can of corn to the mix.

I get store bought dressing but it’s basically balsamic vinegar, olive oil and some herbs.

I store the whole thing in my fridge and eat off it for a few days. I just add sauce to my liking. Sometimes I just add salt.

And it comes down to a reasonable price. I paid less than 10€ for all of rhe ingredients, I used about half of the dried pasta, half of the pickles and the sauce is gonna last me for a while.

The big bowl is around 2kg so it’s gonna last me for at least 3 days.

If I feel like I want to protein I just cut some slices of vegan ham and add it to the mix, or I just eat some of my marinated tofu.

Is it standard practice or should I change therapist?

Hi!

So I had my first appointment with an EMDR therapist this week and there is a point i am not comfortable with.

A good chunk of my traumas come from transphobia (I'm trans), and many of the traumas come from my childhood, many years before I started my transition journey.

During this week's appointment, since it’s the first one, I only talked with the therapist. She told me that for childhood stuffs, I will have to use my deadname (the name my parents gave me, which i haven't use in 7 years) and misgender myself.

I'm really new to EMDR, is it standard practice or should i seek another therapist? I fear that it may hurt me more and trigger my gender dysphoria. Has any fellow trans person gone through anything similar? How did it go?

Thanks in advance!

ETA: the gendered stuff is because of the language. We're both French and in this language basically everything is grammatically genders. Adjectives, nouns, etc. Even if I want to say "I'm French" it's gendered.

How can i turn off ring tone on my phone except for Signal?

I have a Samsung galaxy s25fe.

My best friend and i mainly use signal to communicate (thank wi-fi, we live in a city with a terrible mobile network), and since he's been feeling awful lately, i'd like to make sure he can phone me anytime even when my phone is on silent.

Is there any way to do it through signal?
