After like 14 years, I’ve finally beaten AC2.

I’ve played and beaten both AC Brotherhood and Revelations, but I’ve never beaten the beginning of Ezio’s story. This game was really good, but it definitely shows its age, which I’m giving some leeway for, considering it came out in 2009. Sometimes the movement would annoy the hell out of me, like Ezio just deciding “nah, I’m not gonna climb this wall that I know I can climb with ease,” but that’s Assassin’s Creed for ya. Music was phenomenal. I completed the game at 69.01 total Synchronization, and 23:57:32 playtime.

Collection update

I’ve been really enjoying collecting and posing these. I’ve gotten 12 figures now, mostly from Amazon. I’ve gotten a few from Walmart and GameStop, and it’s always a treat finding more in the wild. My absolute favorite figures to pose are Games Begin Goku and Legendary Super Saiyan Goku. Excuse the messy desk.

Would you have quit over this?

I’ve been back at FedEx as a van lines unloader for a month and a half now, and in that time, I’ve been constantly moved around. They’ll come and grab me and put me in unload or load, or if I get put in unload, half an hour to an hour later they’ll make me work in load instead. This happens every other day, and I’m sick of it. One of the first times it happened, I asked the manager there if I could go back to van lines because I hated it over there (load) and she blew up at me, saying if I hate it so much I should just hand her my badge and walk out. Yesterday, after being moved to unload, half an hour later a manager came to tell me to work at load instead. He first asked me “how are you doing?” Told him that because I’m constantly being moved around, I’m seriously considering quitting because I hate it. He told me “suck it up, it’s part of the job. I got moved over here and week and a half ago and you don’t see me complaining.” I was already pretty pissed and when he said that I damn near threw my badge at him. When I got to load, I was made to do a whole trailer alone, so that’s cool.

Starting to remember why I didn’t want to come back to this company, but it’s the only place that would hire me as every other job listing is fake or I just never heard back from them.

Getting my own pair soon, anything I should know about?

I’ve done some research on these, and needed new glasses anyway, so I ordered the Ray Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 2. I know the basics, you can ask it what you see, the battery life, stuff like that. Can I video call on Discord somehow? I don’t really use Instagram or Facebook anymore. Also, if my phone isn’t nearby/dead, what happens to any pictures or videos I take? These are going to be my general use glasses once they arrive.

So little people.

This whole week at my facility, over 100 people have consistently called off every single day for the 2PM-9PM shift, mostly due to the heat (it’s been over 100 every single day this week). On Wednesday I was one of 8 people working, Thursday I had an eye appointment so I called off, yesterday I was one of 6. I put in 21K steps yesterday and I’m going back today for that time and a half ($26.55/hour). I’m fully expecting to be one of 3, 5 max.

Update: I was correct. 5 people for van lines today, obviously more were there for load, but my area had 5 people. The first hour I unloaded one truck, and it barely had anything, and at 3 the food that the managers cooked up came in. Bossman can grill a mean burger. After 3 though, it was down to 3 of us unloading (one was a tugger). Two of them were sent to smalls. We finished working at 6, but were told to wait until 6:30 for the remaining vans, and only one showed up. Dude had one tiny ass package. Easiest 4.5 hours of $26.55/hour ever.

Just beat the game and man.

10 hours of playtime, 29/35 achievements unlocked, 3/5 sectors 100%ed, a lot of tears shed. I’m not a dad, as I’m only 24, but this game made me tear up a lot just watching Diana be a kid. I loved Hugh and Diana’s relationship. It felt different somehow than other “dad games.” That ending destroyed me.
