I was at a local record store and found what looks like a 1969 pressing of In the Court of the Crimson King for $6! I haven't had a chance to play the record yet but it looks pretty scratched up, but even if it doesn't play that well I'm stoked to have the original artwork. I've wanted a copy of this album since I started collecting, and I think this is probably the coolest way to finally get it!

Hello all, I am a newcomer to punk but in a different way! I am a big fan of grindcore, raw black metal, and similar types of extra metal and ironically I find the more popular types of punk like pop punk and classic punk rock very inaccessible. The punk I enjoy the most at the moment would be your classic hardcore bands like minor threat, bad brains, etc. but I have also taken quite a big liking to crass. I love grindcore especially because of the social and political themes, which I have found to be the most prevalent in the more extreme types of punk. Do y'all have any albums or bands to check out that can ease me into the rest of punk? I typically like stuff that takes itself seriously and is purposeful with its lyricism, but I am willing to try literally anything. Thanks!!!
I've been trying to find new stuff to listen to recently and I've found myself in a bit of a brutal death metal craze. I find the early tech death stuff like Nile and Cryptopsy really nice since they are really intense while still feeling a bit sloppy and lacking the machine-like precision of a lot of newer tech death, and I dislike the simplicity of a lot of slam that's out there. Based on these albums, what would be some cool albums to check out? The more obscure the better!
I used to play tenor in band about 2 years ago now, and I'm craving the joy I used to have playing so I'm thinking about getting back into it again. My main issue that made me drop playing was that I had a pretty crappy student horn that I'm pretty sure had some leakage issues or something, and it's been sitting in my closet since I stopped playing. When I stopped playing I was using a step up instrument rented from my school. Should I consider getting a new horn, and if so, which one? I forgot exactly what model of horn I have but I remember it's a Jupiter. Thanks for the help.
