Trying the circuit simulator (first time doing three phase wiring, 1st year apprentice) what am I doing wrong? Driving me insane trying to figure this out

Mostly just had experience working on single phase resi and a lot of low voltage so far up until now and after completing the reading they just tossed in three phase circuits on me so I’m lost as fuck. Any help would be greatly appreciate. All my circuits up until now have worked but I keep getting told I’m using the wrong color conductors. Anyone have some insight?

▲ 43 r/lexapro

Been on lexapro for 5-6 years. Had to switch primary care doctors, new doctor won’t continue prescribing lexapro without an evaluation by a psychiatrist. wtf?! Is this normal? Mentioned getting off it when I don’t want to.

I’m so fucking tired and honestly busy. I literally have been on 20 mg for years after having severe anxiety and depression and my life has been great. Why do I all of a sudden have to go see a psychiatrist to confirm that I need lexapro?? Literally fucking non sense and I’m just aggravated by this, this is another hurdle/task that I have to deal with. My last two doctors were totally fine with this. Should I just see a new doctor at this point?

Any else catch this weird flu/chest congestion thing right now on LI? Everybody at work and my fam have been getting sick recently, myself included.

I feel like absolutely garbage, been having a pretty persistent chest and throat infection I think and have been feeling terrible. It seems like most of the people around me or in similar areas are all catching something similar. Is there something going around? I'm trying to find a chance to go see the doctor as the over the counter stuff isnt working.

Had to curse out my dad for being rude to the customer service rep on the phone. My blood is boiling.

Had to help my dad figure out some stuff regarding our fios bill since he’s older (70+) and flat out stubborn as hell. I did most of the talking starting off and got most of the stuff sorted out before he started going off on a tangent about the bill going up when the lady informed him that he was notified about the price changes months ago and explained that he wasn’t getting a new plan or anything. He immediately got irate and kept talking and rambling about nonsense and how they’re trying to con him and I noticed the lady was getting upset as well as she was genuinely trying to help us. Got to the point where I had to tell him to calm the fuck down and stop yelling at the lady she’s not the one who did anything. Anyways I figured out a way to get the bill lower and got a $100 gift card set up but my dad for some reason thinks that it’s okay to talk to people like this over the phone. As someone who’s worked in customer service and dealt with people I can’t tolerate this level of bullshit, we got into it back and forth before I finally walked off. I’m so fucking tired of his behavior it’s fucking disgusting, those are fucking human beings on the line. His logic is that this is “how you negotiate” and that I was wrong for calling him out and making him look like a “joker to the person”. This isn’t a third world fucking country where you can badger the hell out of regular people and hope to get things your way like he’s accustomed to. He already looks and sounds like a “joker” for being that way. Fuck I want to throw my fist through a wall rn. To the fios rep that dealt with us, my bad you had to deal with that.

PSA: If someone’s brake lights or tail lights are out it’s always a friendly thing to let them know if safe to do so.

I often see people out driving around without knowing that their lights are out and honestly I don’t blame them because it’s hard to tell when it’s literally behind you. I try to make an effort to let people know “hey just a heads up I noticed your brake lights/tail lights were out in case you didn’t know, don’t want you getting a ticket for it” 99% of people don’t know or just fixed it and something went wrong. Either way it’s nice thing to do and helps make our roads a little safer. Just my two cents, stay safe out there guys.

Anyone got tips for working in areas infested with roaches? Worried about bringing them home with me.

Long story short I’ll have to work in a basement and underground tunnels beneath an old ass school built in the 40s. I’ve been through the whole district with no real issues, asbestos and poor air quality aside, but now the current school I’m working in has these massive ass cockroaches that are apparently eating each others dead bodies and thriving. I’ll probably be down there for anywhere from a month to two months running wire through emt and terminating devices in crappy locations (I.e I’ll be touching and leaning up on old furniture, pipes, etc). I’m not thrilled about this but it is what it is, I just don’t want to bring those fuckers home with me. My buddy was saying stepping on them could carry eggs on my boots and such and now I’m paranoid as hell. Anyone have any tips or ideas on what I can do to minimize the chances of this happening? These roaches are fucking huge too mind you.

Thinking about buying new wire strippers as I transition from low voltage back to commercial/industrial work. How important/common is it for me to run into 10 AWG stranded? Need help deciding on some options.

Long story short, after doing a few years in the low voltage field after trade school and pretty much topping out, I finally re-interviewed and got into the apprenticeship program by me for the union. I want to get a new set of strippers as my current pair (1st gen rack-a-tier's crocs) are starting to dull out and the lock on it is failing. I was looking at a few different options, mainly the croc jr's (they go up to 10 stranded awg and are smaller than my current pair), the slimline forged kleins and the knipex ones.

My main issue is that outside of the croc's the other 2 options don't go up to 10 stranded and I recall reading that it was something a-lot of commercial guys run into so I was unsure if it would be a smart move to get those other two options. Plus, those other two options don't have a hole for making loops which was super useful back when I was doing residential work. I'm really digging the knipex as they products are top tier and the cutting action can make good work of mc if I was in a pinch but I don't know if thats enough of a reason to pcik those over the other two. I'm trying to figure out what a good option would be to go with, price is no issue as long as the strippers are good quality and last. If you guys have any input on this or any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it!

Edit-- After all the recommendations I ended up going with the knipex. Thank you guys for the help I appreciate you all!

Question: I have to get rid of an old treadmill, do I just put it out on a regular trash day or do I have to call the town and schedule a special pick up? (North Hempstead)

As the title states, finally got around to cleaning out my parents house a bit and I’m throwing away a bunch of old furniture and trash. For the seats and stuff I’m just cutting them up into pieces and throwing them into a black bag and putting it out with my trash but with the treadmill I’m kind of lost as to what I should do. It’s heavy as heck and idk how I’m supposed to get rid of it. Any advice or input would be appreciated, thank you.

My vin plate on my windshield is almost illegible from dirt and grime. Does anyone else’s look like this? Am I missing something behind the etched glass?

I usually keep my car insanely clean so idk how I haven’t noticed this yet but it’s bothering me. Anyone have any insight?
