I have attended the Humboldt County Fair for many years and will always be a supporter. However the past couple years have been lackluster. This year was by far the worst I have seen it. There seems to be a lack of participation of local artisans/food trucks/etc. Humboldt has an incredible amount of artists and amazing local food. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a funnel cake, but why not local options. Why is the hall mostly out-of-towners with junk, teslas, and political groups? I thought kinetic taking over the horse races last year was a great idea. I don’t want a rodeo at the county fair. We already have rodeos and not everyone enjoys them, this is the county fair. What am I missing here?

I had a healthy pregnancy at 40 yo, people would often assume that was my “last baby” and would make comments. My husband and I wanted another, knowing we are older and lacking time, we became pregnant one year after our baby was born which resulted in a chemical, then became pregnant again in the first next cycle which resulted in tfmr due to t21. I’m now about to turn 42, unsure if another one will happen for us. Scared to even try. And all while going through the emotional turmoil of this I often hear coworkers talk about their own pregnancy timing, making fun of older parents or laughing about how they don’t want to be pregnant when they are 40! Like it’s some freakish horrible thing. My mil had her kids in her 40s in the 1980s and did not get this reaction from people. Since my tfmr three of my coworkers have announced their pregnancies, all before week 12. I went through a hellish 1st trimester ending in tfmr and told no one. People can be so insensitive and cruel. If I do become pregnant soon, I’m worried about judgmental reactions.

I had an appraisal of my home, the walkthrough seemed to go fine. The appraiser said it should take about a week. Then over two weeks passed, I checked with the lender and they said the appraiser had asked for extensions. Then at around 3 weeks I find out a new appraiser was assigned and the last one completely ghosted. How common is this? Should I be worried? This has already caused issues and delays.

Hi, I’m struggling to find a wetsuit that might fit me. I need a hooded 5/4. I’m 5’9” pear shaped, big booty/thighs, smaller waist and shoulders, mid-sized. In normal clothes I wear Medium in shirts and 12/14 pants. I’ve seen some midsized women recommend either the largest size of Rip Curl dawn patrol or O’Neil hyperfreak for stretchiness. I don’t live near a surf shop where I can try on. Anyone with this body type find a good fitting wetsuit? Thanks!
