Anyone else's physio/surgeon not care about flexion?

I'm 3 months post op and I'm at 130 flexion from ACL/meniscus/LET. I was NWB for 2 months. We are currently working on load bearing exercises and functional movements like descending stairs. They always gas me up but I don't know if I genuinely am doing well or they are just being nice.

Both my surgeon and physio have told me I may never get full flexion back and my physio never tests it or has me bend anymore, I made him measure my flexion last session which is why I know I'm at 130.

Reading this subreddit it seems everyone's goal is to sit on their heels and they have surgeons worried about their degree of bend but my team seems to be focused on the opposite.

Some perspective 1 year after prolapse

After my vaginal foreceps delivery I found things were very different down there. I went to a pelvic physiotherapist and was diagnosed with a grade 1 cystocele and a grade 2 rectocele. I got the weights, the pessaries the physio sessions.. I couldn't use tampons. Any time I would exert myself (Im a powerlifter) I would feel like something was up there the next day. I worked my core obsessively..

I was in the facebook groups reading about how poor the surgical outcomes are, that they almost always take your uterus when they do the repair, the weight list for the surgery in Canada is years long. The environment was so negative and hopeless. I went through three different pelvic floor physiotherapists getting frustrated I wasn't seeing any results. I just wanted so badly to be able to return to powerlifting.

I'm 1 year pp and I don't have any symptom. I'm sure I still have the rectocele because those don't typically heal on their own but I was forgetting the biggest part of birth recovery.. time.

Things are normal for me now. I can use tampons, sex is great. I cant believe I was 3 months post partum crying because I couldn't hold the lightest keegel weight inside.. I had just given birth for goodness sake.

So you guys use the seatbelt on shopping carts?

I use the seatbelts with my 13m old but its so tight on him already i'm not sure how it will continue to fit. Do they eventually just get big enough to not need to be belted in?

How does moving to a new home work?

How does it work when you sell your primary residence but haven't found another home yet?

What about if you found another home but your house is still on the market?

Does the bank let you have two mortgages at once while you wait for your home to sell?

All I had to do when I purchased my first home was pay to break the lease and I was out of there easy peasy, but it seems a bit messier when you have a property you also need to sell.

I want to swap my own light fixture out in the basement

The boob light in the gym hurts my eyes when I'm benching and I found a dimmable flush mount for $40 at costco.

I am allowed to replace my own fixtures in my location without ruining my insurance, and found several videos on youtube on how to do it. House built in 92' so im certain things will be straight forward.

I will get a non contact voltage tester, and a dimmable switch (the install looks straight forward for this also)

Is there anything else I need to consider before getting started on this project?

Came back from maternity leave and am being pushed out of my job (Canada)

Im wondering if this is worth looking into an employment lawyer or if there is nothing I can do.

  1. My maternity leave replacement was hired permanently while I was gone. They are also the daughter of a VP which may or may not be an important factor.

  2. There is not enough work for two of us to do, the distribution list emails stopped being used shortly after I left and instead clients are communicating with my replacement directly, so I have no idea what is going on with bids and upcoming work. Furthermore she is very disorganized so is unwilling to loop me into things until last minute. (for the most part she is very competent at the job)

  3. The team (5 people) has been having meetings without me I only found out this week (my third week back) that these meetings have been happening weekly and nobody has bothered to send me an invite.

  4. So with no work to do I asked my boss (director level) for some work to do and I have been given some fetch quest for researching new opportunities. I expressed my worry at the lack of work and he assured me that things would pick up

What would you do in my situation? Should I lawyer up and find a different job? Would you wait and see if things get better?

Do I have any legal recourse? should I be documenting what is happening? My understanding is that I need to be offered my job back with all its roles and responsibilities or a similar one with the same compensation.

How much do you get for rental assistance in Alberta?

I am considering purchasing a condo for a family friend to move to Alberta and live in. Ideally I would like to charge her a small amount of rent so that she has enough money to survive but also hopefully she can cover the fees and property taxes. I think I have enough savings and cash flow to be able to do this and she is facing homelessness in New Brunswick. She also has family here so they will be able to support her better than she is doing right now.

The market rent of the condo would be around $1900, I would have a rental agreement with this person but I am willing to charge them below market rate. They should be eligible for Alberta disability they currently have CPP-D which is around $700/mo.
