Request for editing a 2 minute medley of three songs

I am getting married on Saturday and my younger cousin who has additional need has their heart set on singing a medley of three songs. They have sent me a video (iPad recording) of the karaoke versions of the song but I think that a DJ is going to need a better quality audio.

Is there anyone available who could blend the three songs into a smooth audio track I can share with the DJ? I have absolutely no idea how to do this and can’t stand the idea of my little cousin being disappointed!

I have no idea what is a reasonable budget so I am saying £30 as a starter but please let me know if I’m way off the mark here!

Tips on getting cat to take bitter medicine

My cat is 13 years old, sassy and sadly has lymphoma. On the advice of her vet, we have started chemotherapy and she is thankfully doing well.

She has some tablets that must be taken at home daily. A total of three pills over two different doses. We are keen to minimise handling and stress while giving her medication so we’ve led with the sneaky methods of administering medication first.

She is so smart that she figures it out every time and takes evasive action. She isn’t distressed or upset, just reluctant to eat something that doesn’t taste great. We are only on day three, but we’re rapidly running out of ways to trick her into taking them.

We’ve crushed them and mixed them with a Licky Lix but they don’t mask the taste and she refuses them instantly. We’ve resorted to smearing the Licky Lix on her paws - this works a charm but she is fastidiously clean so I feel like a stinker doing it to her!

I would love to hear your tips and tricks for getting very smart and sassy cats to take their medication. To be clear, I am not asking for medical advice - just ideas for what foods, treats and tricks might work best to cover the yuck and reduce the chance of her being grumpy with us.

Is chemotherapy for cats cruel?

My cat (13 years, spayed female) was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma following an ultrasound and biopsy last Tuesday. The mass is in her stomach, no metastasis evident although nearby lymph nodes look slightly inflamed.

History - episodes of cyclical vomiting over a four week period. She’d have a couple of days of significant vomiting followed by about 10 days of complete recovery. One episode of blood stained vomit. In great shape otherwise, no other health concerns identified through bloods, scan or biopsies. Minimal weight loss (200g), great appetite, high energy levels, no pain evident. Happy cat, anxious but very compliant at the vet. Responds well to Gabapentin for nerves.

The advice from my regular vet practice is that we’ve caught it early and it is very much worth an oncology consultation. We have a consultation with our local small animal hospital (who happen to have a lymphoma specialist in their oncology team) next Monday. This is the soonest appointment we could get.

I’ve previously been told that chemotherapy for cats is cruel (different cats, different cancers) so I was surprised that this suggested as an option for her. I’m delighted that we have hope (I want her around for as long as we can keep her happy and healthy) but I’m a little nervous about putting her through it.

We will absolutely take the advice of the oncology team but, based on your experiences of cats having this treatment, would it be cruel to give the chemotherapy route a chance?

Help Understanding Poor Results

Hello all.

I’ve just had my first cycle of IVF. I’m 38 have a low AMH of 3.3pmol, and only retrieved two eggs. I was on an antagonist protocol with max doses of Gonal F, Cetrotide and a Ovitrelle trigger.

Scan suggested two follicles with four other smaller ones. Only two were retrieved. I was told on collection day that both were mature but, on Day 5, the embryologist said they were not quite mature at collection but reached maturity after a couple of hours.

Both fertilised well and progressed to “beautiful morulas” on Day 5. We were led to expect that at least one was likely to progress to blastocyst. Unfortunately, today (Day 6) both have arrested.

As we’re new to this, I’m not sure I fully understand what happened. There have been a few conversations that don’t make complete sense to me. Is there anyone who can chat me through what I should be asking the doctor tomorrow? All ideas gratefully received!

This has been the hardest process I’ve ever been through physically (I don’t do well with hormones and I developed sepsis after egg retrieval). Just want to make tomorrow’s conversation meaningful.
