Pepper Update: She’s Officially a House Cat 🖤

A few weeks ago I posted about the spicy delivery I got from the CDS. That post is here! The people seemed to want an update and I’m happy to report that Pepper is officially an indoor girl now!

She had her first vet visit today and she’s perfect at 10 weeks old and 2.5lbs. My Maine Coon thinks I got her a baby 🥹 My boy is a little hissy but he’s also even more outnumbered, so… lol

So now I have 5 inside but she seems like a great addition so far. She is loud and energetic and I’m glad she picked my porch to hang out on!

Clean Baby Beans!

Found this baby panting on my porch. She’s too small and it’s way too hot to leave her out there so I guess I have a new little buddy! 🖤

Pepper!

Pepper is tiny, loud, and beautiful. She showed up in the garden a few weeks ago. She has her first vet appointment on Thursday and a lifetime of snuggles as a content indoor cat ahead! 🖤

The progression of Pepper deciding I am safe 🖤

Last week this tiny creature showed up on my porch. That post is here. She refused to come near me and has spent all week hissing at me (I’ve continued to give her food and water). This morning she stopped hissing and started yelling. Tonight she yelled AND approached. Here’s the progression. Her name is Pepper now because she’s been a spicy one.

I am rapidly losing the battle and will absolutely have 5 cats inside soon. Because LOOK AT THIS THING.

Look at this thing that showed up this morning

This creature showed up on my porch this morning. I’ve named her June Bug. She wouldn’t come near me but I gave her fresh food and water. Hopefully she comes back because she’s so small the idea of her wandering makes me anxious. I absolutely cannot keep her but ugh.

Swipe to what the CDS dumped on to my porch three years ago last month. That Face! He lives inside now as a spoiled house cat but bringing him inside gave me 4 cats and 5 would be absolutely crazy.

(that’s me trying to convince myself 5 is too many)

Never thought I’d see the day

First image are my levels in January before my surgery and second are my levels yesterday, 5 months post surgery. My hematologist officially discharged me from his office forever since we finally resolved every single issue. I kind of feel like crying. I feel like I’ve been sick for so long that to finally feel like I’m at the end of this road (after YEARS) is absolutely incredible.

My boss called me a bitch

Edit: we don’t have an HR dept. I work for a small firm.

I’ve been at my job almost 20 years. Last year we hired a receptionist who is, quite frankly, not very bright. 1.5 years in and this woman still cannot get something as simple as a phone number or message correct. Personality wise we do not mesh at all. She’s super sensitive and takes everything personally (ex: oh you’re on the phone and didn’t immediately say good morning? personal affront. no problem she’ll stand in front of you and shout it)
Admittedly, I can come off as harsh or abrasive. I don’t have time to coddle grown people.

Few weeks ago I walked up to her area and saw she’d been writing a journal about me. Dates/times/things I said and the “tone” I said them in.

Last Friday I was called in to see my boss. He said she complained about my attitude. I tried to defend myself and was told it didn’t matter if I was right or not, “you know you can be a bitch.” I’m not sure what I was expecting but just needed to rant about it somewhere.

I was waiting for this to start happening again (migraines)

I’m 16 weeks post op (took everything but my ovaries). Prior to my surgery I had awful, debilitating migraines. My plans were constantly ruined. I was miserable and anxious about them all the time. I had not had a single one since my surgery. Coming into May and being headache free since January was a dream but I kind of expected it to be too good to be true (and I know my body is settling and still having cycles, etc).

Last Friday I got a headache so bad mid-day that I left work, and it hasn’t completely gone away. This morning I woke up to find it just shifted to the other side of my head. Should I be looking into getting my hormones tested or is this just another way my body is adjusting, generally? I know everyone is different but my headaches used to resolve in a day or two so this is definitely new.

my little love bug 💖

This was his nightly routine and it was my favorite part of the day. When he got sick I started taking pictures of him and now that he’s gone (two years next month) I’m glad that I have countless photos of my little soulmate looking at me like this 🧡
