I carefully outweighed the benefit of getting Hewbie back home sooner rather than later. I can continue the final 2 days of meds in his tank. He is doing zoomies around the tank! I’m confident I ended up making the right decision.🐡☺️ Quarantine was really starting to stress him out too much and so was the declining water quality of having a 12 inch fish in around a 15 gallon tote.
I thought Hewbie died. I came home to this and spoke to his vet team immediately. His antibiotics and quarantine time will be extended. My best conclusion is that Hewbie had been gasping at the surface and breathing heavier from stress and then he went upside down but this afternoon he was sleeping in the corner just fine. My heart broke again when I saw this. After I pushed air out of him and gave him his meds he went back to normal nearly immediately. At least this is my best conclusion after looking at him and his behavior pre and post meds and pressing on him/burping him. The water quality in the tank isn’t great. Burping for me means holding him down and gently pressing on his stomach gently (which in that moment is what made sense). I saw some immediate improvement. Also he is a known offender for spitting water at the surface and I just saw it after and the behavior of a fish gasping or wanting to get out of his environment and ready to jump. Although pufferfish are not known jumpers they are smarter than that. I did a water change as well after and he smiled at me like nothing happened. Ugh. I hate this. I will continue to update everyone.

Hewbie my porcupine pufferfish was not doing well, refused to eat, and was swimming upside down/having trouble maintaining his buoyancy! I tried every at home treatment and medication but he progressively got worse over a few weeks. I found an exotic vet to take him to and they diagnosed him with trapped air deep inside his body and some internal digestive issues. This air could not simply be pushed out and believe me I tried numerous times to push it out. Here is that journey. Keep Hewbie in your thoughts as he finishes his meds and goes back into his home tank! I found an amazing vet with compassion/care and guidance on a treatment plan.❤️ Hewbie is doing a lot better but is not over it yet. Healing takes time. BONUS!!! I am planning on visiting California for the first time in late August and will be in the Anaheim California area. I would like to get some scuba diving in. Please recommend sites and dive shops to do a day of diving with? I am advanced open water and drysuit certified. Although is it common to use one this time of year in California or are they not needed? I am Pennsylvania native so drysuits are always used when diving near me and off the NJ coast. Thank you.
AquaLung recommended the Si Tech Antares system and that is the compatible version but my local dive shop strongly advised against it. What other dry glove system could I use? Any recommendations?

Context! I tried to transfer $200 from my bank account to my Venmo thinking it would be instant. It was not instant so I went to my bank per the customer service rep in the chat telling me I could and disputed it. Venmo then suspended my account and told me I owed them $200. I was told to reverse it two weeks ago. I did so $200 came out of my bank account and never went into my Venmo account. And then I tried to pay my negative balance which should not have been negative because my bank had sent the funds back to Venmo days prior. I paid Venmo another $200. And Venmo still suspended my account. And now refuses to give me a straight answer and my account is still suspended after I was told both would come back to me or at least customer service told me to pay it and go to my bank and that I would get it back. Instead Venmo took two separate $200 ACH transactions out directly from my bank and never put it in my Venmo account and now no one knows the answer in customer service. I basically sent them a final email saying if you don’t put it back I will be filing a police report for theft. Because they literally stole two $200s in separate transactions of me trying to transfer money into my Venmo account and I keep getting runaround by customer service. I replied to the emails too. Please tell me I’m not the only one. How did you resolve it? Did Venmo ever pay out? If they don’t I will be filing a police report for theft.
Please tell me someone else experienced this!😵💫😭 My one ear has never liked to be pierced it has always had holes close up even after years of meticulous care. I got my conch done in September and it has high quality titanium and has always had clear fluid come out. Partially because I fiddle with my earrings. However, even when I don’t they still take forever to heal. I went to change it today and in second it closed up. I literally had to re-pierce my ear with a taper. It was so painful and bloody. I wanted to keep the piercing that is why. I cannot believe in a matter of less than 30 seconds the hole closed up. It was literally instantly when that bar was no longer in. Anyway, who else experiences this? I know conchs and cartilage can take up to a year or more to heal but it has been over 7 months. This means I just reset my 7 months of healing. Ugh!
