It's just never sat well with me. Feels like a blatant attempt to make the subject more appealing by completely omitting the fat that very often sits around an obese person's neck and face. It's my view that the 'pretty fat girl' trope that the Internet seems to fawn over only applies to this specific presentation of a large/fat person, and there's still a certain stigma against double-chins and forehead fat, things that alter the shape of the face in ways that most people can't accept.
Let one of your officers take the helm and allow the player to walk around while your ship sails to a marked destination. You can pass the time by interacting with your crew: Sparring with swords, brawling, drinking, or even helping around deck like scrubbing and tying rigging. Minigames like Dice and Nine-Men's-Morris should be playable whilst free roaming the deck. Include interactive points where you can sit or lean on the railing to watch the sights as you sail by.
It would be great slow down and enjoy the trip when you're sailing between points.

Possibly featured in the 'Just Dance'' video games, but could be wrong. Song has an energetic party beat, then cuts off while vocalist chimes in with "Now dance, dance, dance, dance" before beat resumes. Listened to it between 2010 and 2014
As opposed to high action, open combat 'Call of Duty' war games. Looking to play as a special operative, hitman, etc. Infiltration, tracking, quiet elimination, remaining unseen.
