I really want to run an army with the 3 detachments they previewed, bunch of battleline, cavalry and non monster heroes.
So far it has been the only preview to really get me looking forward to 11th
Turn one slasher Host gets priority, charges and holds pilgrims down body blocking
By turn two neither army has suffered major loses but slasher hosts starts seeing gaps in formation, bloodcrushers manage to move past spirit hosts with the d6 movement blood points provide
By turns 3 losing for the slasher Host feels.inevetable, down to only a few units
Turn 4 we manage to tie, we discuss or options, doing g a second game down the line, having the winner be determined via points in previous rounds, we decide to go to an extra Turn 5, the twist flips, losing me (nighthaunt) the game almost immidiatly (twist and my reaction in the pictures) and By the end of Turn 5 game is over, close one, incredibly fun, maybe the most tense game of spearhead I've ever played.

Slasher Host takes it away vs Carrion Retainers, losing both heroes, and the knights + huge scoring gives the ghosts the win
Next up the semis, bubonic cell continues its Cinderella run but faces a top contender in bitterbark copse

Me and my wife REALLY like spearhead we try to do one or two games a week, and while we haven't collected more than 2k points of our main factions we have collected a bunch of spearheads.
So we decided to put our (at the time) 16 spearheads vs each other, we started this the week of the updates and we are almost done with the first round matches.
We have since gotten more spearheads (7 if we include the pre-ordered new box) so we might do a second bracket to face this one when we finish, the seating was randomized if we ever do a full bracket with every available spearhead we will take their og placings into acount for seating.
