Cicis Pizza in Cordova still slaps

Took the R1g family to Cicis on a reckless whim and was pleasantly surprised. Has gone up to $10 for adults but still good price for the options. Place is clean, well run, had good offerings of fresh pizzas, salad and pasta and had Sponge Bob on the TV. Asked for a specific pizza and was brought out within minutes. No complaints, only complements. Literally fed the whole family for the price of a pizza and drink at Hog and Hominy.

I don’t mean when you’re going to a race in person but any given Sunday that we collectively spend as race fans. Thought it’s something would like to hear from other fans and even see a segment on.

Literally one of the first things I think of (besides having to pee) is “It’s race day.” I do a bigger than normal breakfast since it’s Sunday, something special like our favorite donuts or cinnamon rolls. Since have time try to make it special. Then it’s church and/or grocery store. Putting the trash on the curb, helping with laundry or other chores, gassing up the wife’s car (it has to end in $xx.20 for good luck) and helping my kid with their homework for the coming week, and any other miscellaneous running round trying to get them done before the race. Then it’s countdown time.

Before the race, Make sure Bluetooth speaker is charger, got the CBell flag flying high, the race shirt/hat is on, Race Rewards is checked in and that mobile app is lined up for my groups fantasy picks for the week and tuned to CBell’s scanner, then it’s go time.

Green flag waves and am locked in. Still helping around the house taking care of stuff but got my earbud in and TV to the race making sure to catch any action from the scanner, restart or caution. Keeping tabs on lap times and deltas for CBell to those around him, formerly watch in car cameras Start prepping dinner at the last stage trying to time it to the end of regulation. If race goes our way, hoist the checkers for the week there’s plenty of celebrating and riding that high for the next few days. If it’s done to Hell a bit of stewing, and trying not to show it to the family. Then it’s time to wind down, listen to the Teardown and look ahead for the week to come and next race day next week.
