Graduated with a CS degree and got into controls engineer out of school. Been at this position for almost 6 years but i dont see growth and would like to move to embedded
What should i be doing if i want to go into the industry. What skills and experience do i need?
I've been a controls engineer for 6 years, but my company has shifted my role to the point where I'm no longer doing any controls work. It's a small company, so I don't see any room for promotion either, and I'm back on the market.
My background is a CS degree, and I've adapted well to a wide range of work: electrical design, wiring harnesses, engine-related design, and embedded controls (firmware, CAN/J1939, embedded controller programming).
The problem is that I don't know what job titles to search for, since my experience spans a few areas. What titles or industries should I be looking at? Any advice is appreciated.
Started on 2023 with a perm application . Then won a h-1b lottery year later. Now its approved!

As the title suggests, my company recently had a asset acquisition by a different company and not sure what will happen to the green card process. The i-485 was submitted on april 28 2026, and i have finished my biometrics. Its been 2 months since my biometrics.
What should i do? My lawyer havent responded to any of my emails and im at a loss on what to do

Basically im trying to create a dual boot drive where i can have a linux on one and windows on another. i need to use remote desktop for work so i will be keeping the windows partition hence the need for a partition.
I tried to shrink the volume and found that the amount that can be partitioned off is only 30gb and found in the event viewer that the issue was MFT DATA.
I saw that multiple people saying offline defragger might help.
i also saw that the best way is to clone the drive and partition a clean disk and then reinstall windows. I dont want to do that if possible.
Any other solutions?
