What's the budget for a zhp 1 shot bosser?

I wanna run some invitations and I happen to also have a lvl 98 assassin.

I've never done a pure bosser before so I have no idea about the budget.

I'll use it exclusively for 1 shoting bosses so I don't care about anything else.

Is Pathfinder in a bad place right now or are the builds available to her not that great?

Thematically I love Pathfinder. It's currently sitting at 2% on poe.ninja

Every build played is some poison variation.

I can't tell if Pathfinder itself is not that great of an ascendancy or the builds available are pretty meh.

Poison itself seems mediocre right now too, or at least the method to apply it. The dot cap doesn't help either but that's available for all the dots not just poison.

I don't really have a point to this post, I'm just curios what you guys think.

How does Curse on hit interact with mines?

I did some testing with mines and I'm curious if the interaction I'm seeing is correct.

  • mine triggers

  • mine expires

  • exsanguinate hits enemy

  • applies curse

  • the curse instantly disappears because the mine no longer exists

That's what seems to happen visually in the video but the wiki says otherwise

> "Mines as separate entities Like other proxies, mines are separate entities that use the player's skill, and that skill contains the player stats. This includes modifiers to damage, debuffs, and practically all on-hit effects, such as Curse Enemies with Frostbite on Hit. The skill does not contain effects that specifically check the character, such as most on-kill effects."

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Mine

The wording is a bit vague.

My point is: it seems that curse on hit effects are pointless for mines as the mine doesn't actually benefit at all from the curse since the hit happens before the curse is applied(which makes sense, a hit needs to happen for the curse to apply), but as soon as the mine expires, the curse expires as well rendering it useless for the next hit.

The mana cost changes really did a number on Toxic Rain costs

This is a pob I have on standard with a PF TR.

Before the changes on the helm exarch implicit the cost was 1. Now, it's 9.

This means I have to get a watchers eye with reduced mana cost while affected by clarity and that would reduce the mana to about 4(ha, you though it was 1....nop).

It's...not great.

Va prezint frigarui de pui pentru furnici

Am luat pranz la pachet de la Aubergine aviatorilor.

Mi-au pus niste frigarui de pui COMIC de mici. Ba, comic. Nu mi-a venit sa cred :)))

55 de grame in total. 55 de grame toate, impreuna.

Alte lucruri care au 55 de grame:

  • 9 monede de 50 de bani

  • 2 baterii AA

  • 1 ou de gaina mediu

  • ~5 oua de prepelita

  • un sapun de hotel

  • un kiwi mediu

  • 4 linguri de zahar

  • un bec

  • o lamaie mica

  • o minge de tenis

Nici macar n-am o concluzie la acest post, nici nu ma plang, e amuzant in punctul asta.

I'm totally lost on what to farm.

I don't think I've ever been so lost on what to farm in any league.

I'm currently doing what I can only call aimlessly wandering in maps.

I'm basically doing altar farming with shrines. It's not totally alch and go but it's not far from it either. And it shows, I've made way less currency that in previous leagues.

Previous league I went boxes...but with mirage gone(and operative boxes gone from maps) the potential is not there imo.

Supposedly abyss is not great, breach is not great, legion is mediocre(at least for now), I don't really enjoy ritual, harvest is not that great at league start. Betrayal?

Anybody doing anything that's worthwhile?

A medicore dev and AI. What can I do to stay competitive?

This is not a doom post, lets be clear about that.

This post is about AI, which is here to stay in one form or another it seems to me.

I've worked with PHP for about 9 years now, if not more. I'm a very mediocre programmer. Yes ocasionally people come to me for answeres, but I'm never the default go to. I can finish whatever the product has dreamed up on my own from start to finish.

We all know how the market is so I won't go into that.

To be honest if I were to be laid off right now I doubt I'd get a job in the next 6 months. Much less likely to be at the current level of compensation either.

AI seems to be the way forward. Weather I, or you, agree is besides the point. The market has decided for us.

Clearly AI has uses, I won't lie. At the very least you can use it to bounce ideas or search for documentation.

The code generate by AI, if within a certain scope, can be quite good.

If we'll end up not writing code by hand or not is another matter entirely, which I won't go into since it's pure speculation.

What can I, a mediocre developer, do/learn so that I can stay competitive in the current market. There's a looot of much smarter people than me looking for jobs, and when(not if) I end up competing with them I want at least to have an even playing field.

Anybody here doing boring business?

I'm not exactly what you'd call an entrepreneur, more like and independent professional with contracts here and there. But I do work for a variety of clients.

The most consistent ones(and by consistent ones I mean those that haven't gone bankrupt) are the really boring business ones.

A company makes nuts and bolts, worked with the for the past 12 years. They haven't really changed overall. I've never heard them having financial issues.

Another makes grain related products like: flour, chaff, cereal, and whatever else. I've just started working with them but they're in business since 1960s I think.

A customer I no longer work with used to own(probably still does) a few car washes.

One that has some sort of storage thing going on. I'm not sure, I think he rents them out.

Any way, overall extremely boring stuff. No real innovation or crazy ideas.

Sali de box/kickbox/mma in Sector 1, Aviatiei?

Am ajuns la concluzia ca sunt vai mortii mei la capitolul fizic. As vrea sa fac miscare dupa munca.

In tineretile mele am facut box cam 1 an si mi-a placut. As vrea sa ma reapuc.

A less typical leanfire path

My plan is to leanfire in a homestead type of setting.

The initial investment will be higher since I need to actually buy land, build a house, all that stuff.

I estimate the total to be around 300k euros.

But, once that's done the goal is to be as self sufficient as possible, which brings down monthly costs quite a bit.

Solar panels and stoarge, growing a good chunk of my food, well for water, heat pump for heating/cooling. The real estate taxes are very cheap where I live.

I understand this not your typical leanfire, but I'm curious if others have followed a similar path.

I'm looking to move parts of my future earnings in safer asset(s), for the purpose of preserving wealth. I'm seeing the wisdom of the crowds.

I don't know what the markets will do in a week let alone in a year or 5 years from now. I don't want to this conversation to turn into a "you don't know what you don't know" type of affair.

Assume for the sake of discussion that the market will take a turn for the worse in 3 to 5 years.

I work in IT, as a lot of people on reddit do. I'm almost 40. The job market is pretty bad right now and I don't feel confident that I can secure another job in less than 6 months if for some reason I get laid off.

Even if I could secure a job I doubt it will be for the same salary I have now.

Outside of IT I don't have real marketable skills.

I live in Romania. The current year over year inflation is 11%(highest in EU), at least for the consumer goods basket. The current government is unstable to say the least, we'll probably have 2 prime ministers in the span of a few weeks since the current prime minister is going to be ousted. It goes without saying things aren't great.

My wife also works, fortunately, in a position that's unlikely to be impacted by AI or any sort of market downturn unless it's very extreme. So in a very bleak scenario I can lean on her, although it's not something I want to do at all.

Point is, I'm looking to move parts of my future earnings into a safer(safer meaning not necessarily more productive) asset(s) of some kind.

##The goal is to be able to live for a few years without a job.

##But let me expand. Currently I'm employed. In the event that I lose my job, I want to move parts of my earnings until that point to something that will maintain value and allow me to search for another job.

This is what I'm currently thinking of, in no particular order

Romanian state bonds

  • Advantages

  • extremely low barrier of entry

  • No taxes - this is substantial

  • 7,35% for RON for 2 year maturity if you're a blood donor(easy to do) OR 4% for EUR with 3 year maturity - both can be sold on secondary market before maturity date if desired

  • also the option to buy from the state directly but can't be sold on the secondary market with less % even if blood donor

  • Disadvantages

    • Romanian state bonds
    • 11% inflation essentially means you're losing money

Some sort of world bond ETF(BNDW? I have no idea)

  • Advantages

    • since it's euros I'm somewhat shielded from the ridiculous local inflation
    • the RON(local currency) lost about 5% value compared to EUR(evidently it's more expensive to buy EUR if paid in local currency)
    • should be fairly stable
  • Disadvantages

    • taxes
    • technically risky in the long term, at least compared to stocks

Physical metals(gold, silver, whatever)

  • Advantages

    • historically safe
    • shiny
  • Disadvantages

    • hard to move, both physically and in the market
    • most likely sell at a loss unless you have a big quantity

Keep cash

Not as crazy as it may seem. Cash, in EUR, would technically be ok for a while. But I'm not a huge fan.

How do I play Omniknight, as a support, effectively?

I really like Omni thematically, it also helps that he's generally a good pick as well.

I'll admit most of the time I just play by feeling with no real plan. Basically doing things as I go.

I don't struggle with any particular area. Maybe decision making but that's very hard to pin down.

Generally I try to get items that help that team. Depending on how the game is going I'll go for more expensive or cheaper items.

Lanes usually go decently. I find repel to be highly effective when things are getting frisky. Puritifcation goes without saying.
