Would spec'ing hard into chaining portion of vaal molten strike be good?

I'd take reliquarian nodes:

- Vaal caress

Onslaught on using vaal skill

+2 to level of all vaal skill gems

- The shattered divinity

Grants Greater harbringer of directions

(The minion will cast a random buff on you that grants one or all of the following: Fire 2 additional Projectiles, Chain 2 additional times, Projectiles Pierce 2 additional targets, or Projectiles Fork then Fork an additional time.)

- Gloomfang

+1 chain

Projectiles that chain gain 20% dmg as chaos dmg

Should clear the screen right?

Disclaimer: I know patch notes or even the reveal isn't out yet, I don't care. I got inspired and I'm already making a build I'm going to try and leaguestart/2nd day respec start.

I'm theorycrafting a General's warcry, Inquisitor, power stacking, crit, elemental dmg long neck boi. I made a version of it on standard as a proof of concept and have noticed a bottleneck in lack of corpses to feed my warcry because of how fast its triggering.

I tried running desecrate on a battlemage cry but it doesn't proc on my cyclone, I tried self casting and it interrupts my cyclone. My next thought is cast while channeling or cast on crit, but I'm not sure which one is better, or about breakpoints for desecrate triggering.

Or is there another angle I'm missing that I can trigger desecrate from?

You guys think I could make one of those work as a astral projected totem skill on a Heirophant? Or astral projection mine Saboteur with one of these?

I like to switch my leaguestarting class every league and build something with a new skill and these ideas came to mind already. Maybe someone sees something I don't, a cool angle or unique interaction?

I've already baited myself by homebrewing a PoB to see if it could be done. Hopefully it can dissuade some of you from falling into it too or at least before patch notes.
