Every time the air dryer is used, the air flows in the bathroom and I feel it coming from under the bathroom elevated walls and door. Just moving germs and bacteria that was settled into my face while I use the toilet..a breeze of disgusting tiny weeny fecal matter.

Today, after I put the paper seat cover, of course the stall door was closed, someone outside used the air dryer and it flew into the inside of the toilet. I was half way into sitting but the toilet cover from the breeze flew into inside the toilet.

Moreover, Electric hand dryers pull in the surrounding bathroom air and blast it out at high speeds. Because of this, they can circulate those settled germs and fecal particles from the room and blow them onto your freshly washed hands.

This affects our health. They want work from the office. The building wants the big contracts from paid for from our taxes, the least they can do is not make the bathroom more of a germ breeding ground than it is already.

Even having to touch the bathroom door is an issue. Are we supposed to bring bathroom supplies from home now?

And they are doing this after COVID!

EDIT: FYI Bacteria and viruses settle on restroom floors and surfaces, largely from "toilet plumes" (aerosolized waste when toilets flush). Air dryers intake surrounding room air, sucking up microbes from the air, floors, and surfaces, and blasting it into the air, providing circulation for the tiny fecal matter and germs.

It is pretty low compared to the private sector in my field, IT.

Why so low?!

The landlord delivered the lease renewal document on 6/7/26 and I signed receipt of it, he dated it 6/4/26.

He wrote in it that the lease expires 8/31/26, meaning my new lease starts 9/1/26.

This happened after he locked the laundry room for the whole building. So I want to stick to the law and my rights.

Google AI mode stated that I can refuse to sign on the increase of 3% based on 2025 guidelines because with a 90 days notice, the date would be after the first of September, and the lease should start on 'the first rent payment day' which for me has been always the first of the month.

So I have the right to start my lease 10/1/26, which means 0% raise.

Is that correct? The landlord and the super refuse to communicate. I sent the landlord a certified letter letting him know I expect an updated lease with the raise rate once the city decides on it. Now the city has decided and I will probably have to file a complaint for the landlord refusing to send me a correct lease...

This makes sense to me because how can he start a new lease when my rent is not due till the first day of the next month? Any other day, I would still be covered by the rent I paid the month prior

The same car driver, twice did a turn on the pedestrian light which is fine if I was not already in the middle of the crossing. It seemed he did it to intimidate me.

The first time, a month or two ago, it was on a two direction double lane road. He was rushing towards me as if he was going to hit me. I stood there and my first reaction was to gesture what are you doing!!! And point at the light and pedestrian crossing marking under my feet. He stopped just before hitting me and then moved his car next to me and drove.

The second time was last week, just a street before that one. This time he rushed next to me but he stopped to give me the finger! When I was pointing to the signal.

A guy was going to the train stairs and he shouted at him 'animal' I asked him: you saw that right?! And he confirmed.

Now after this happened twice I think this is intentional and I feel I need to report it. But I have gone to the police before and they don't care.

I also don't have the plate number or a good description of the car....I don't know much about cars but I believe it is the same black car with the same white guy in it.

I suspect it is racist because the first time I was wearing the koufiyeh, and last week I had the same koufiyeh tied on my bag in my back.

Any advice? I want him to be held accountable and I want to be safe.
