Bird/Wildlife Photo Recommendations

The girlfriend and I are heading to the Stoke for the September long weekend as it is both of our birthdays and our anniversary.

Where might I be able to sneak out and get some bird shots? Or just in general some park recommendations?

Where’s my Birders at!!

Osprey landed and I needed to RUN!

Photo assist by all of the cigarette butt throwing assholes along our highways.

Green Heron

Had a heck of a time trying to get him in some light.

Direct sunlight and in the shadows, did what I could!

Two favorites of the day.

Feels so good in the Mitt

Went away from a D500 to a z6ii and now getting back to the D500 I LOVE this thing more and more.

Doing an Art Gallery event tonight, just for fun, and had to bring the grip out!!

New to Italian Rapier and WMA as a whole-

It doesn’t have to be pretty to work? 🤣🫣
My hips and legs and arms need some WORK.

Practising footwork, anyone else have some fun and challenging tips/tricks?

Blue Billed Duck (Very Original Name)

RUDDY DUCK! (Reddit won’t let me edit title)
I googled “Blue Billed Duck” unknowingly that that’s also a very similar bird, just hoping to see what the real name of it was. WHOOPS! Thanks for the correction!

Just happy to be getting out again- Never seen one of these before. Im elated.

Getting back into this!

I know I need to get lower to get better separation, but im trying not to EDIT so heavily. It’s so easy to load a bunch of colour adjustments and make things un-naturally pop. How did I do?

Getting back into birding and wildlife photography. Is there anyone who wants to connect OR is there a group I could message?

Found a d500 body with 19k on the shutter for $1100 CAD.
I have a 1.4X tc14-c iii

Now I’m in between using many lenses
The obvious 200-500. However I find myself at the 500 ALL THE TIME.
There is a 140-600 Sigma nearby.
But there is also a Nikon Nikkor 300mm F2.8 AF-i nearby for $1100.

Paired with the teleconverter and the crop on the d500 is this a golden setup?

Or am I crazy? I’ve read so many reviews my brain is swirling.
