I’m not good at showing up on time, and can only do good work when I’m pressured

Hey yall, looking to hear what folks like me have to say and what worked for them.

I enjoy technical problems and working with people. Long hours of sitting on a computer can’t get me excited or engaged to work.

People are quick to call someone a bad employee, but I see it as some of us can’t be enslaved like the rest of society - always showing up on time, doing the best work and getting paid the same, hoping for a promotion.

It just seems sad to behave this way. With the way the job market is and how employers treat people as dispensable, I don’t see reason to not behave the same.

For yall like me, what has been strategies that worked for you to secure your life and not feel enslaved.

Are there a free 3D printing services?

Perhaps in any libraries? Looking to print some fun figurines. Used to be able to do that for free at my college.

Opinions on saying no to restaurants that use AI posters

It’s just… enough. Please.

Alot of us are walking around, losing jobs left and right because of AI (but really it’s outsourcing)

The last thing I want is to see more of this slop on restaurants.

I will always supports immigrants. I get that it’s cheaper than hiring a human being who could actually design something that looks delicious.

But this shit has got to stop. It’s ugly as sin, and makes me not want to do business with the place or food truck.

Last thing I want to see is AI generated food.

Thoughts?

If she go no ass, SHE GOTTA GO

getting tired of these assless ladies walking like they own Midtown. Go join the military or volunteer for a space mission so we don’t have to look at THAT

Does Con Edison test for MMJ for prescreening for engineering roles

Curious if anyone has gone through the drug screen when applying for an engineering position there. I’m aware it’s different for CDL drivers
