I remade Audeze in RUST to be faster and less resource hungry to replace the old app. The other main difference is it can function as an overlay now.
Originally I wanted to have an overlay functionality in Audeze. This is because I am coming from an Arctis Nova Pro which has a a screen that shows any changes you make on the headset live. I felt like the audeze voice/sounds it makes when turning the knobs and buttons wasnt good enough and I needed something with visual feedback.
So I made this. Its the official Audeze app remade in Rust. It has all functionality the original has except for Firmware updates. (I dont wanna brick anyones headsets and be liable for that so you will need the original app whenever you wanna update the headset) but for everything else you can use this if you want. They can not run at the same time so make sure you exit one or the other.
The Overlay can be customised however you want with whatever cards you want. You can move cards around how you want, resize them etc, change the opacity/blur level/size/dead space/ disable animations even. There are alot of options so you can make it work however you want it to work. Cards also have minimal versions of them to reduce screen clutter even further. Just press the three dots when in edit mode. You can even go into settings and select to only show the card that changed isntead of the whole overlay if thats what you want.
There is a hotkey recording to make it come up whenever you want. You can also change values directly in the overlay and it changes them on the headset. So if you dont wanna use the knobs you can use the overlay.
I tried my best to ensure compatibility with all headsets the native app supports but without owning the other headsets I can not gurantee everything works. You will have to confirm/give feedback if something dosnt.
The overlay uses a separate desktop window, with no game injection, graphics hooks, game-memory access, or custom driver to avoid triggering anti-cheats. That being said I can not gurantee it. I did run some games with anticheat and got no warnings or anything. I am working towards getting the app signed so you dont get the warning from windows when you try to install but that requires money or active users. If you think the code is dangerous the repo is public and you can get an LLM to check the code for dangers if you want or review it yourself.
You can download the app from the releases tab on github.
