Rock climbing +Arcade

23M, I've been climbing for some time now after a friend introduced me to it and I completelyfell in love with it. It has done wonders for my mental and physical health, so I wanted to see if I could reach new people and introduce them to a new sport they may like and that can change their life.

We can boulder (small, technical walls) or do top rope (climb the high walls). For top rope you can climb without a certificate but need one for belaying, I have it so I could belay while you guys enjoy the climb.

I have a membership with Movement gyms so I can bring 3 people for free, for the rest a day pass is $30-35. Regarding the shoes and harness, the gym will lend it to you for free. The gym we would go to is the one at LIC, movement LIC.

There is an arcade called Quackade which is fairly new (2-3months) and we could go there after, it's 3 blocks away, 5mins walk from the gym.

Quackade charges $25 for 60 tokens (like 5-6 games) plus $5 if you're a new customer (I'm kind of sure that you'll be a new one) so $30.

We could meet up next friday or sunday, 5-10pm maybe? My sessions are usually that long but it'll depend on everyone's energy, some may be really tired and just want to hit the arcade lol.

I (23M) fell for my (29F) gay friend/classmate/climbing buddy

I'll refer to as "V". We've been friends for almost 2 years, but we've gotten much closer the last 8 months.

Same college, major, class, and even same hospitals for field practice. During semester we would spend from 8am until 8pm studying together at campus, she also introduced me to rock climbing (this was 8 months ago) and I loved climbing so I used savings to pay for the membership and stuff, she gifted me a pair of shoes she didn't like and a harness. I could talk and climb for 9h straight with her and feel time pass in the blink of an eye

A mutual best fried "A"(F29) told me not to fall for her at around the same time we started climbing, but I fell for her 1 month ago. When I told "A" that I fell for "V" she told me I messed up because V is gay.

For all the time we spent together, conversations were never of our love life and I never asked her preferences, but I guess you could say I subconsciously ignored the signals, as she is kind of a tomboy and does seem gay.

Just to make things clear, whether she is gay or not, doesn't change the fact I am in the wrong and I'm aware this is a me problem. Not a loneliness problem either. I've been actively avoiding starting a relationship in which my heart is not fully into it. I just fell in love for her personality, she's tough but soft. Love her.

This brings me to this point, were I've been kind of avoiding her and putting distance between us. I just think it is the only way I could get rid of the feelings I catched, I was just genuinely hoping she didn't notice and didnt text me so I could move on easier.

She unsurprisingly realized and texted me last night asking if everythings ok and that she's always free to talk and wont get offended if I dont want to.

What should I do? Do I lie saying I'm depressed for whatever reason, or do I come clean and explain Im catching feelings and just putting some space to control it. Its just that I dont want her to think im putting pressure or that I'm expecting something else about our relationship, which I am not.

Do I explain my feelings and solution or do I just brush it off?

TL;DR I recently fell for my lesbian friend of 2 years, I've been avoiding her and she asked why and I don't know what to say
