Do any of you know any bakery owners in Delhi NCR who want to reduce their Food Waste

Hey! We’re Second Serve Delhi, a youth-led food rescue initiative working with Ello Bakehouse, Dumblo Deli, Beanly Coffee, Galaxy Pizza and more

We collect safe end-of-day surplus food from cafés/restaurants/bakeries and redistribute it through same-day community drives across Delhi. Through our existing partners, we’ve already helped redistribute 1,000+ meals.

Would love to explore a simple pilot if you know any bakery owners in Delhi NCR

Help Us Grow a Surplus Food Wastage Initiative

Hey everyone,

A few months ago, my friend and I started Second Serve Delhi, a volunteer-led initiative focused on reducing food waste by collecting surplus food from cafés, restaurants, bakeries, and cloud kitchens and redistributing it to people in need.

So far, we've partnered with places like Beanly Coffee, Dumbo Deli, and Amaltas, and have redistributed 750+ meals across Delhi and Gurgaon that would otherwise have gone to waste.

If you like what we're doing, we'd really appreciate a follow on Instagram: @secondservedelhi

We're not selling anything or asking for donations, just trying to reach more people, volunteers, and food businesses who might want to help.

If you're based in Delhi NCR and would like to volunteer, we'd love to have you join us. Our distribution drives are usually around 2 hours long, and even a few hours a month can make a real difference.

If you have any suggestions, feedback, or know cafés, restaurants, bakeries, or cloud kitchens that might be interested in partnering, I'd love to hear from you in the comments.

Thank you for reading ❤️

Looking for Volunteers in Delhi for Food Waste Reduction

Hey Everyone!

We're a small NGO, a grassroots community initiative where we collect surplus food from restaurants across Delhi and distribute it the same day to people in need. We’ve partnered with Galaxy Pizza, Dumbo Deli, Beanly Coffee, Amaltas and more, and as we grow, we’re looking for a few more helping hands for morning distribution slots.

Our drives usually take place in morning and evening slots, making it flexible for college students who want to contribute a few hours meaningfully alongside classes, internships, or summer break.

What volunteering looks like:

• One morning drive = approximately 2 hours

• Flexible commitment during summer vacations

• A meaningful, on-ground way to give back to your city

We’re also happy to provide a volunteering certificate for students completing a minimum of 20 hours of work (approximately 10 drives).

If you’ve been wanting to do something tangible this summer, this is your sign

Do you know any Cafe, Restaurant, Bakery Owners who might want to reduce their food waste

Hey everyone,

We run a NGO, a small food redistribution initiative where we collect surplus unsold food from cafes, bakeries, and restaurants at the end of the day and distribute it to people who need it the very same night.

If you have:

  1. A friend or family member who owns a cafe, bakery, restaurant, cloud kitchen, etc.

  2. Contacts in the F&B industry

  3. Suggestions of places that might be interested

Please drop a comment or DM me.

We're especially looking for places that regularly have fresh unsold food at closing time. We handle the pickup and distribution ourselves.

Trying to make sure good food reaches people instead of dustbins.

Would really appreciate any leads. Thanks, Delhi! 🙏

Looking to connect with Cafes, Restaurants, Cloud Kitchen Owners in Delhi NCR

Hey Everyone!

We're Second Serve Delhi, a grassroots community initiative that collects surplus, perfectly good food from food businesses across Delhi and redistributes it the same day to people in need.

We're currently partnering with Dumbo Deli, Beanly Coffee, Amaltas and more, and we're looking to connect with café owners, restaurant owners, bakery owners, and cloud kitchen operators who would like to reduce food waste while making a direct impact in their community.

How it works:

• We collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste

• Food is redistributed the same day through our volunteer network

• Pickups are coordinated in advance and designed to be hassle-free

• We provide regular updates and impact tracking

Why partner with us?

• Reduce food waste responsibly

• Support your local community

• Strengthen your brand's social impact

• No fees or complicated processes involved

Whether it's extra pastries at closing, unsold meals, or surplus prepared food, even small contributions can make a meaningful difference.

If you own or know someone who owns—a café, restaurant, bakery, or cloud kitchen in Delhi, we'd love to connect :).

Every meal deserves a second chance.

Looking to Partner with Cafes & Restaurants to Reduce Food Waste in Delhi

Hi everyone,

We run Second Serve Delhi, a food redistribution initiative that collects fresh surplus food from cafes, bakeries, restaurants, and cloud kitchens at the end of the day and distributes it to people in need that same night.

We're currently looking to connect with F&B businesses in Delhi that regularly have unsold but perfectly good food at closing time.

A few things:
• There is no cost involved for the business.
• We handle pickup and distribution ourselves.
• The goal is simply to ensure good food feeds people instead of ending up in the bin.

If you're a cafe, bakery, restaurant, cloud kitchen owner, or know someone in the industry who might be interested, I'd love to connect.

We're a small volunteer-led initiative and are actively looking for more partners to help reduce food waste while creating social impact.

Feel free to comment or DM. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

We've been doing every run ourselves and it's working, we're currently partnered with Beanly Coffee, Amaltas, and Dumbo Deli among others. But we need a couple more hands so we can keep growing without burning out.

What we're looking for: Someone in South Delhi with a two-wheeler who can cover one evening slot per week, That's it.

If you've been looking for something tangible to do in your city, this is it.

Fill out this short form and we'll be in touch 👇

Hey Delhi! I recently started Second Serve Delhi, a small initiative where we collect surplus food from restaurants at the end of the day and get it to underprivileged families and children the same evening, so nothing goes to waste and no one goes hungry.

We're just getting started with a pilot in South Delhi and looking for a few people who'd want to be part of this on the ground- helping with coordination, pickups, or just spreading the word.

Not registered yet, very grassroots, but the intent is real and the need is very much there.

If this sounds like something you'd want to be part of, drop a comment or DM me. Would love to connect.

Hey everyone! I'm running a small grassroots initiative called Second Serve Delhi and looking for people in Delhi who'd want to volunteer in this.

What we do: Restaurants in Delhi throw away surplus food every evening simply because there's no system to do otherwise. We collect that food the same evening and get it to underprivileged families and children nearby - so it's fresh, it's dignified, and nothing goes to waste.

What we're looking for:

  • People who can help with evening pickups and drop-offs in South Delhi
  • Someone who can help with coordination and communication
  • Anyone who just wants to show up and make it happen

No experience needed. If you care about food waste and want to do something tangible about hunger in your city, that's enough.

We're early stage, not yet registered, completely grassroots. The pilot is small and intentional - we'd rather build something reliable with a few committed people than scale too fast.

If you're based in Delhi and this resonates, drop a comment or DM me. Happy to tell you more about what we're building.
