I’ve had my Street Triple RS for 3 years, and after about 5k miles (10 months), the quick shift stopped working. It was replaced under warranty, but less than 2 years further on, it’s now at just over 10k miles and failed again.

Down shifting works fine, but up shifting doesn’t. For the last month or so it has been random each time I started the bike. It would either work fine for the entire trip, or it wouldn’t work at all for the entire trip, which led me to think it’s something electrical rather than mechanical.

I have no idea how these things work, but are there any simple things I can look for, such as connections or fuses? I also have a diagnostic tool, but it didn’t show any error codes.

If it was replaced under warranty, would that reset the warranty period on that part, or is it just tough that it can’t last 2 years?

Ok. Like many people I have struggled with my driver. Lots of slicing power fades, and even straight hits I would get maybe 200yds.

A few months ago I had lessons, and was custom fit for a Qi35, 1” shortened. I was much better, averaging 218yds, and about 50% success rate for straight shots.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a 3h. Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke. I wanted to fill the gap between driver and 4h which was travelling about 170.

I decided to try my new club off the tee, and I’m absolutely smashing it. Every shot is straight, and the direction I’m aiming, and I am averaging 230yds on tee shots, which is further AND more consistent than my driver even after lessons.

Considering on most normal courses 230yds would get you to within long iron or at least hybrid distance to green, why bother with drivers?
