Drinking more fluids

I'm struggling to drink enough fluids, I think it is connected to abuse I got when I was young for drinking too much water according to my parents. I have tried different bottles, reminders, and straws. Everytime I drink water the thought of I'm going to get hurt for drinking keeps coming into my head. Currently I'm drinking less then 30 oz for day, and it needs to change.

9 year old daughters first jam

My daughter made jam for the first time yesterday as one of her 4H projects, it's a mix of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and blackberry. She has it entered at the local fair this weekend. We are going to be heading to the library next week to see if we can find some more canning recipes to try this summer.

Hanging with Mom

I got inspired watching bats catch mosquitoes around our house. Hopefully they recover from white nose syndrome soon.

Birthday gift ideas

My son is turning 6 at the end of next month. When we ask him what he wants for his birthday he tells us he wants a worm farm, not caterpillars, worms. According to him worms are cooler then caterpillars because they live underground. He has loved worms since he was 2, he used to keep them in his pockets, sadly some went through the washing machine because of that. Lately he has been trying to learn worm grunting to catch more worms. He also likes ants, and has been getting library books about insects weekly. Any ideas insect or worm related?

My new chive plant has been eaten

I just bought a new chive plant a couple days ago, someone ate half of it. I have officially caught the culprits, they are paying damage cost in eggs. (These are my newest batch of ducks, my old ones never touched my original chive plant.)
