Basically, which setter do you think will maximize Ushijima/Goshiki/Reon etc?

To the point that they can challenge Itachiyama as a top favorite to win the tournament?

You can consider all factors like talent, mindset, playstyle, etc.

PS: I am talking about their 2013 Versions. Not After Timeskip.

Wemby is obviously #1. But who is second among the younger Pf/C bigs?

Some candidates are Chet, Mobley, Sengun, and Duren. All have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Some are better in offense. Some are better in defense. Some are better all around.

But overall, who would you take?

Of course, Karasuno is stronger from 2013-2015. But that is because they have the MC, arguably the best setter, and a top 3 libero. And the others as well.

Date Tech has no exceptional player like Kageyama. Their setter Koga is raw and inexperience. Their Spikers are decent but not impressive.

Aone is a good blocker. As well as Jingo. But that's it.

Still, they defeated Karasuno in 2014 IH qualifiers. They also made the Top 16 of IH despite having relatively weaker players.

I know you will argue they improved. But still.

Ippo literally beat all of his relevant peers in their teenage years. (Sendo, Mashiba, Volg, Etc). Well, he is 1-1 with Miyata in sparring but still.

If any of them during that time was in Ippo's place. Do you think they will lose?

Imo, yes they would. But who would have the best hypothetical performance?

For me, it is probably Volg. Though, I will say Date will beat Volg that time too.

Oikawa's Aoba Johsai (or Seijoh in short) never qualified in the Nationals due to existence of Shiratorizawa and Karasuno.

But if you compare them to other spring national team, how good do you think is Seijoh?

Do you think they can match up against a team like Nekoma?

If not, do you think they are at least nohebi level?

Alex Eala, Qinwin Zheng, Naomi, Osaka, and Wang Xinyu. They will need to choose between the two major events.

Beijing is a mandatory WTA masters event. While Asian Games is opprtunity for them to represent their country (ans win a gold medal), while also having a chance to get an automatic slot for the olympics.

Eala is reportedly choosibg Asian Games. Albeit, it can change. Since she will still be playing in Singapore open next before she decides.

Other players seems to be priotirizing Beijing over Asian games.

Zheng is the defending champion in Asian Games. But obviously, she will choose to play for her home crowd.

Osaka has an opposite case. Either she will choose to play in Asian Games in her home country (Japan). Or she will prioritize playing in another Masters.

What do you think of this conflict? And the players' decision?

They probably recruited players from Kitagawa Junior high. (They always do)

This team made the finals of 2014 Spring qualifiers. They lost against Karauno. (2nd yrs Kageyama/Hinata/Tsukishima)

I give props to their new setter Yahaba for setting this team. Oikawa had Iwaizumi and others.

Yahaba only have Kyotani (who have some outside volleyball issues btw). Kindaichi and Kunimi probably improved. But still.

They beat themselves. With all the hax and bs powers they have. They could have easily win this war.

But internal conflicts, bad decisions, and questionable actions (even by Yhwach) caused them the lost in the war.

Gotei 13 Captains and Lieutenants are not all friends. But they know how to fight within their system and strategy.

Kamomedai's Finishes in Spring Nationals

2013 - 3rd place (Beat Karasuno in QF. But lost against eventual champions Ichibayashi in Semifinals)

2014 - Champion (Beat powerhouse Itachiyama in the Finals)

2015 - Top 16

Yes, they fell down from Champions to Top 16 after Hoshiumi/Hurugami graduated.

Top 16 is decent I guess for rebuilding team. It is the same finish as Nekoma had in 2013.

In 2014, Hoshiumi/Hirugami beat Sakusa/Komori in the finals. Iizuna graduated already that time for Itachiyama.

He will be eligible in 2028 Nba draft. But he is already drawing attention from scouts.

Do you think he is legit 6'8" - 6'9" SG?

I mean for Miyagi prefacture.

We know Karasuno won 2013, 2014, and 2015 Spring Qualifiers.

However, it is implied they never won Interhigh qualifiers.

2012: Shiratorizawa won (They beat Aoba Josai in Finals)

2013: Date Tech won (They beat Karasuno in finals)

2014: ???

2015: ???

But what about 2014 and 2015? Do you think Aoba Josai could have won in 2014?

How about 2015? Which Miyagi team/s do you think won 2014 or 2015?

They most likely didn't reach QF in 2013 Interhigh. But it is highly theorized that they lost against Inarizaki in QF.

If you compared Shirwtorizawa with Mujinazaka, Fukurodani, and Kamomedai. Do you think they are in thw same level or not?

Ushijima is as good or even better than those teams ace. But what about the quality of teammates. Do you think Shiratorizawa can beat Mujinazaka, Fukurodai, and Kamomedai?
