2010 outlander V6 with OBD not functioning.

Hi dear fellows.

I am planning on buying a mitsubishi outlander 2010 facelift to a private seller. Pre-purchase inspection and mitsubishi dealership 40 point inspection done in the last month came very encouraging. The car is in amazing condition. Except one thing : the pre-purchase inspection noticed that the OBD PORT was not functioning. The owner was not aware of that and took it immediately to Mitsubishi dealership (where the vehicule has been maintained for Years). They said to the owner/seller that it was like this since a long time and refuse to diagnose it for free.

The diagnostic cost 180 dollars. And then eventual fix from easy/cheap to more costly. The owner refuse to pay for it as he feels Mitsubishi have not been professional at all.

Should I run away? Any advice or past experience on possible cause? (already checked on chatgpt)

I have seen so many cars in the last 2 months and this one is in really good shape so I don't want to miss a good opportunity.

Thanks for your help

Repair on a dent on my front hood.

Hi dear community, I would like to do a quick and cheap repair and repaint on my front hood dent (photo below) on my Nissan altima. I leave in Canada and would like to do a repair that would last and avoid any rust spreading in the vehicule. Any idea on how to proceed and products to use?

Thanks for your help

Honda civic 2001 engine temperature acting weird

I recently got a Honda civic 2001 from a friend. The temperature gauge is acting weird. The gauge is staying down to zero for a while and after driving a bit goes to the middle. Then I drops down to zero again (still while driving) and then up and down. Another issue is the car won't start again if still hot. I have to wait for it to cool down before being able to start it again. And it struggles a lot uphill. Coolant is hot after a while. There seems to have a few bubbles when I open the radiator cap while the car is heating. But I already purged and replaced the coolant and waited a while for the bubbles to go. The fan seems to work too.

Coolant color and level seems normal and the oil too.

The engine light is on.

Based on my research it seems to point towards the temps sensor but could there be any other issue.

Any idea on what I should replace first? Thanks for your help.

Hi everyone, after using the yellow cap method to restore two of my cast iron pan (3x2 days in a plastic bags + scrubbing between each session), I wonder if one of my pan (the little orange) has a coating on the inside or if it is just an old seasoning? The yellow cap doesn't seem to damage or remove it at all.

Photos of the restoration below. I haven't seasoned them yet.

Thanks for your help.
