Cavetown vinyl checklist

Cavetown vinyl checklist

Hello! A few days ago I posted a photo of my vinyl collection and I said I would make a checklist for anyone looking to start a cavetown vinyl collection or have one already!

I put it in a google doc so if you want to use it just make a copy for yourself!

I have also included a google slides link to a colour guide (which also contains small amounts of extra information on each pressing) for every album and ep! Just a warning opening then will flood your google slides so if you don't want that then don't open it.

I had loads of fun making it and i hope people will use it as an easy way to look at and keep track of different cavetown records!!!

My vinyl collection!

Just wanted to post my record collection on here because I'm very proud of it! It's taken me MANY years to collect all of these and it's one of my biggest passions :) I always say this whenever I post my collection, I'm very aware that this is overconsumption before people get annoyed. I'm not like this with anything else haha and I make sure each and every one gets played regularly and loved!!! Vinyl is just the best thing to listen to imo and I guess I like the pretty colours too lol

AITA for not wanting to visit my grandparents after recieving difficult news about my health

Very recently I (18M) received the news from my doctor that I have suspected cancer and I've been referred to a specialist for more tests to either rule it out or confirm it. I struggle extremely with health anxiety as it is so this news is very difficult for me to process and I've been struggling mentally. The odds are in my favour as this type of cancer is unlikely in my age group but obviously I can't get my thoughts off it. My mum arranged for us to visit my grandad a while back and I agreed back then. Now my thoughts have, of course, really changed. I have a week before I need to go to my appointment and I haven't been able to go more than an hour without either an anxiety attack or just a lot of crying. My grandad lives over 3 hours away on the train and I'm an extremely anxious traveller too and often make myself sick from the nerves. I love my grandad very much but he is also not an empathetic person and often lectures me about little things when I see him which is stressful. I really can't imagine anything worse than going all that way in the days before my appointment because I'm barely holding it together at home and just the thought of doing it is making me feel horrible. My mum is insisting that I need to go however and getting very annoyed with me because I don't want to. I understand that my grandad is old and that visiting him is important but she rarely puts me first and I just want her to understand that right now I can't handle all this. So AITA and being selfish for not going or not because I feel really guilty about all this.

Terrified because I was referred to the cancer pathway

Hello, I don't really have anyone to talk to right now so I thought I would make a post here to look for some reassurance because I'm really struggling. I'm 18 and few weeks ago i noticed a lot of pain in my left breast which then led me to discover a bunch of lumps. I went to my GP and she referred me to the cancer pathway on the NHS (I live in the uk). I struggle a lot with health anxiety which makes me extremely anxious and I've not been coping very well. Trying to tell myself that it's unlikely but she also mentioned a swollen lymph node very briefly which makes me even more scared because now I feel like it's not going to be something simple if my lymph nodes feel strange. I'm very scared to go to the next appointment and terrified that it's cancer. I just really need some reassurance right now :(

Fed up, confused and having trouble getting through to people

Hello, I'm not sure why I'm posting here but I guess I'm just seeking reassurance that I'm not alone in all this. I'm not officially diagnosed with anything at all and I'm not even sure if I have anything like a chronic illness but I do know that my body hasn't worked properly in years with no explanation and I'm so tired.

Every year it feels like something new. I've developed crushing air hunger, facial numbness, fatigue, sensations of weakness everywhere, nausea, just constant unexplainable pain and so much more and yet nothing I do can explain it. I've had countless scans which I've only got after months of begging doctors and they always come back fine.

I've lost friends through this who tell me I'm too anxious and sick to be around and because my symptoms always end up being 'nothing' after tests it's all in my head and that I'm just suffering from health anxiety. My parents say the same thing and get angry at me when I cry over my symptoms and I just feel like nobody understands and I'm not getting any answers.

I just wish I could get my old body and my old life back and I don't know where to go next when it comes to asking for help because I feel like everybody is so fed up with me when all I want is answers.

How to entertain a nervous indoor cat who isn't very food motivated

Hello, so I've had my cat for a good few months now (she's 2 years old) and I'm having a bit of trouble keeping her entertained in a way that works for her.

She's very sleepy and cuddly for most of the day but she gets very excited and has bursts of energy and I am not too sure how to keep her entertained when I'm not in the house or too busy/ ill to play with her.

I've tried a few different things but I've had a bit of trouble for several reasons. She's very scared of pretty much everything, I want to harness train her at some point to take her outside but right now that isn't an option until she gets more confident because she will just hide away for ages once she gets freaked out. She's also not particularly food motivated, so hiding treats in things for her to find doesn't really work because she just gives up (she's also not very smart)

Just seeing if anyone has any fun ideas or things I could buy to keep her from getting too bored
