I honestly don't understand this decision. We already have plenty of combat ships, but when we finally get something with Xi'an technology, it's some uselss carrier focused ship instead of something that would expand other gameplay loops.

A Xi'an mining or salvage would have been far more interesting. Carrier gameplay is still pretty niche, and most players aren't running fleets of snub fighters, which is also insanely niche.

This just feels like a missed opportunity to add something new and give more options. Instead, we got another combat ship for a gameplay loop that barely sees any use.

We could of had the chance to see some cool alien tech in the form of a unique mining or salvage competitor to the human ones..

Edit 1: we could see a snub industrial, yes thats true...but who knows.
