What is webnovels rejection percentage? and my novel a few days ago got rejected because it had low views so someone please explain how that makes sense for

I’m only asking because I was told views don’t matter and yes I know people might say don’t worry about the rejection percentage and focus on writing a good story, but then I realise there are a lot of good novels on the app that aren’t contracted. like it’s all luck and that’s fine, and I have another question I want to start making money soon. So should I make another novel and hope to get contracted which Is probably not gonna happen if we’re being honest or just do what ifs on Ytube, get the requirements and start getting paid?

Are normal western published novels able to flourish on webnovel?

I really need this to be answered because a lot of the novels on webnovel just aren’t for me unless they are really good written and if this doesn’t work I’m just going to write smut because this app just loves smut tbh

If I Ask “Why Is My Car Broken and How Do I Fix It?” and You Only Explain Engines, Did You Answer My Question?

So guys, genuine question. If I ask a mechanic, “Why won’t my car start, and what can I actually do to fix it?” and he responds with a long explanation of how combustion engines work, then sends me a link showing how petrol moves through an engine, has he answered my full question?

Because apparently explaining why LLMs struggle to count words is the same as answering what I can actually do to make one write a 3,000–4,000-word chapter without compressing every scene into two paragraphs.

Yes, I now know that LLMs process tokens instead of counting words normally. Brilliant. Fascinating. That explains why the problem happens. It still does not tell me how to solve the actual problem I asked about

So can anyone with an actual solution and know what they are talking about make me understand wtf is going on and what i can do that will actually help because i didnt get any of that last time i posted

like why tf cant this ai just write a fricking 3-4k chapter? and when i ask it to write 1-2k chapter its making it 800 words like make it make sense ffs

u/Beautiful_Beach_4986 — 14 days ago

Does anyone know how to get off this absolute stupid infinite loop of cloud flare asking me if I’m a fricking human when I’m clicking yes a thousand times??

I swear to god cloudflare needs to just shut down for some people because why is this bs forced on us when it’s having these dumbass bugs if you’re gonna have bugs go frick off somewhere else and give other people problems not me bruh

Yo so is venice incapable of write 3k word chapter

So say for example i gave venice a very clear prompt and i told it to make it 3k and it proceeds to make it 1k instead, so i want to know

Can someone actually answer my question idgaf about anything else and yes views matter so let’s not go there

Like you have people in here crashing out about people complaining like idgaf bout dat just answer the question and no I don’t think 10 chapters is enough, but I’ve seen works that have 7 chapters and have over 15k views aswell, and I don’t expect to start uploading more consistently and then my views sky rocket that doesn’t work for most people, for me it’s either it goes good the first time or I’m scraping it. Because I’m not going go into a situation where I think the probability of what I’m trying to achieve is going to be low

u/Beautiful_Beach_4986 — 26 days ago

If I upload 10 chapters of a novel with 2-3k words each chapter in 2 days and I only have 1k views, is it safe to say for most people getting a contract is non existent?

I’m generally just wondering because I am going to write a novel and this is gonna be my first time trying to get and apply for a contract and the only reason I’m doing this is because I don’t want waste my time and energy writing 2+ chapters a day plus wanting to avoid disappointment

Is this supposed to make sense?

Genuine question like not even trying to be rude is this supposed to make sense like when it comes to Venice because its either you guys don’t or you do

u/Beautiful_Beach_4986 — 1 month ago

can someone read this chapter of mine and say if its interesting or not

This is my first time like properly writing a novel if its not interesting ill just move onto something else thats not writing novels even if its my first time because if i aint doing it good the first time then it aint gonna be good in future and thats that.

Lol 1 vs Everyone but somehow the one person won

Just pathetic honestly, and if anyone wants to get it aswell they can, this is just childs play at this point, id expect this to be more intimidating but i actually wanna ruffle some more feathers tbh this fandom needs to read more.

Fang Yuan is evil point blank period

Listen anyone who says Fang yuan isn’t evil quite obviously hasn’t study an ounce of philosophy, and don’t give me the bs that morality is subjective because it isn’t. Morality is objective and I have that beliefs stemming from me being Christian (which is irrelevant) and me just being good at philosophy, like relativism is very stupid and just leads to absurdities and contradictions which are inherently false. The most common cope is that his goals justify his methods he just wants freedom and immortality so somehow that redeems the body count but even if you're a pure consequentialist the maths simply doesn't work, because the scale of suffering he produces across thousands of lives cannot be outweighed by one man's personal goal of eternal life, and that's before you even acknowledge that this line of reasoning doesn't defend Fang Yuan, it just exposes how morally bankrupt the framework his defenders are accidentally endorsing actually is. Then you get the other camp saying he has no malice, he doesn't enjoy the suffering, he just does what's efficient and I need people to understand that this is actually worse, not better, because a person who kills out of sadistic pleasure is at least reacting to something human and comprehensible, whereas Fang Yuan exterminates clans and boils children alive with the same emotional register as someone filing paperwork, which isn't moral neutrality, that's the complete abolition of moral consideration for other human beings, and philosophically what you're describing is a man who has fully negated the personhood of everyone around him where every single human being in his world is purely instrumental a resource to be used or an obstacle to be removed and that is textbook evil full stop. Then you get the "well the cultivation world is brutal so what do you expect" crowd and this is just the is-ought fallacy dressed up as worldbuilding appreciation, because the world being brutal is a circumstance not a justification, what IS the case doesn't tell you what OUGHT to be the case, and plenty of characters operate in that exact same brutal world without committing genocide so the setting excuses nothing. Some people try the angle that he's just beyond conventional morality, operating on a higher plane of self determined values, but that doesn't cash out either because he isn't creating anything, he isn't affirming anything, he's purely parasitic and destructive leaving only ruin behind him that's not a higher value system, that's nihilism with a weird cultivation system attached. The bottom line is this: evil doesn't require cackling and monologuing, evil can be cold and efficient and goal oriented, and Fang Yuan with 500 years of memories, full knowledge, and full deliberation chose every single time to treat every human life around him as completely disposable, and that conscious repeated choice is the definition of moral evil regardless of what framework you're running, regardless of what the world around him looks like, and regardless of how much you enjoyed reading about him. He's evil. The novel is brilliant precisely because he's evil. You don't have to pretend he isn't to appreciate the story, and frankly the mental gymnastics people do to avoid admitting it says more about them than it does about the character.

Are these stats good or bad? If it is what should I do?

And yes I applied for a contract so please don’t bring up contract anything.

u/Beautiful_Beach_4986 — 2 months ago

I started this novel for over a week and I’ve got over 20 chapters and no I obviously don’t fricking expect to get crazy views or collections, but the views and collections aren’t doing to good even when I applied for a contract so miss me with that bs that when you get a contract your views would go up more than normal, but anyways, should I continue writing this novel or put it on hiatus and start a new novel? Id probably pick the one with less stress and it won’t be to hard for me to start a new one since I have ghost writers.

Ok so I started this novel 5-6 days ago and I already have 12 chapters done, now I’ve only gotten about 2.4k views and single digit numbers in my collections from what I remember probably has gone up tbh, but anyways should I drop this novel and start a new one? And please do not be in here saying that views don’t matter at this time because it does so you can keep that to yourself, if not I’m just gonna ignore the comment.
