Rare 160th / 40th ID Infantry Regiment helmet cover
Here is a rare Helmet cover I purchased from a seller online a few years ago. What caught my eye was the 40th ID helmet patch. I expected it to have one on the other side. To my surprise it had a 160th Infantry Regiment helmet patch on it. The seller was the one who wore it and said “it’s been to Kuwait and Iraq for escort missions” and later updated me mentioning the “MFO we had to cover up our helmets with a rusty cover and use an MFO hot with dove holding olive branch in sinai Egypt, a UN observation post, not a peace keeper”
When your kitchen manager puts ya on a 11 day stretch….
They scheduled me 11 days in a row but told me “well it is what i have to work with” followed up by “since its two different pay periods it’s not 11 days straight.” By day 9 I felt like 💩 (swaying trying to cook in wokery) saw her walk in, told her I’m on day 9 of 11 and felt ill and left. She gets transferred and pizza TL took over on schedule writing for a bit and actually checked in with me to make sure I was okay and feeling better as she heard I left early and told me she’d never do something like that to any employee. That old manager that got transferred became a chef….
Rear differential fluid and caliper service already?
I have a 2025 Honda CRV hybrid that “needs rear differential and caliper service done” (according to the dealership last time I went which was for an oil change . It’s at around 17,000 miles right now). They said every 15k miles the differential should be done. I’m currently looking for a local place to do it. I asked in a local group of mechanics they recommend. Couple people commented saying at that mileage it’s too early and some said “it should be under warranty” . But I thought since it’s regular wear and tear and not the manufacturer defect etc it isn’t under warranty. Any help would be appreciated.
PSA: Dave & Adam’s Buffalo prices
Heads up anyone in the Buffalo area! You may be overpaying.
Be sure to double check the market price for some of the singles in the cases and some product at other stores. Yes they have everything under the sun BUT you might be able to find some of the product and cards at other local Shops or even local card shows for less or at least closer to market.
Singles cases: I was told the number in the top right of the price tag is the month it was priced. Some were months old, prices shift and some had dropped since. So you could be overpaying. The one card I was looking at, was marked at $40. Market price with adjusted condition was $23. I asked who prices them. One employee said corporate comes in and does it, another said something like “we have to wait for more cards to come in” or something idk. Obviously with other local shops not having corporate, they are more on top of the prices and don’t have to wait “for corporate to price the cards”
Flea market find from a few years back.
I was digging through some military patches at the Clarence flea market. I came across this patch. I know now UB has an Army ROTC program. I never knew they had an Air Force one back in the day.
