Hernia and Neutering Recovery Expectations?

My male 1-year-old Shih Tzu just had Hernia and Nuetering surgery and is in the process of recovery.

All my other dogs bounced back from neutering right away.

But my little guy is taking longer with the hernia surgery.

What have you guys experienced? Any complications?

Shih Tzu Urination issues question

My 1-year-old male Shih Tzu has always peed in squirts and dribbles.

I took him to a vet, and they said he had a urinary tract infection, so we gave him a round of antibiotics and pain medication.

That helped for a little bit, and his stream got stronger.

We took him back to the vet, and they said there were a lot fewer crystals in his stream and his infection had cleared up.

But now he's back to squirts and dribbles.

It took him 2 minutes to pee this morning.

Has anyone experienced this with their Shih Tzu, and what was the solution?

What to know about buying a used 2006 4runner with 172K miles?

saw this come up in my area.

what do I need to know about buying an old 4runner

Talk me into (or out of) buying a used 4runner, RAV4, Pilot, CRV, or CX-5

I'm going to buy a used car soon.

My situation:

  1. Bought a used 2015 CR-V 6 years ago for ~$15K total.
  2. Great car, no problems, but family member car is 20 years old, so I'm selling the CR-V to them.
  3. Now I have to get another car for myself.
  4. I strongly lean toward SUVs because of utility (moving, carring a lot of stuff, can sleep in them, etc.)
  5. My favorite car ever was my 2009 Ford Escape V6 but that engine died.
  6. I always had my eye on the 4runner as it's a beefier version of my old Escape.
  7. The thing is, I work remotely and barely drive any miles per year.
  8. And I'm single, so 99.9999% of the time it's just me in the car.
  9. So, admittedly, a large SUV is overkill for my situation except for the 4runner's reliability and it holds it's value.
  10. And I've heard even with a V6 the 4runner is so heavy/durable that it might lack the get-up-and-go my 2009 Ford Escape V6 had.
  11. So I'm considering other options as well like the RAV4, Pilot, CRV, Passport, CX-5, CX-50.

Thoughts?
