Still in the process of dismantling, cleaning, learning, but this is some of the concept art for where I want to go with it.
Picked up this beetle this summer for a song. It was converted to electric in the 80s or 90s. My goal is to resurrect it & update it to lithium batteries, along with doing a halfway decent restoration. Not looking to win contests, just want a cool car.
So far, I've removed the windows & have been getting all the rubber torn/broken out.
I'm going to need to do some welding to rebuild a couple of places - most notably where the front window sits is fairly rusted.
Anybody else try something similar?
Any pointers on the window?
Wondering if I can create a paint booth just in my own garage, but that's probably still several months out.
New Release day!
Better Luck Next Time by Alix James narrated by Benny Fife
I've narrated several Pride & Prejudice variations for Alix, but this one is my favorite so far. Featuring some very interesting reversals of fortune between Elizabeth and Darcy, it also features some of the most intimate conversations/confrontations/conflicts between them that I've narrated across ~80 variations.
Defintely not without angst.
Also with a healthy dose of political intrigue (Gotta say, I really liked voicing the Prince Regent in several chapters)
Check this one out - you won't regret it.

I've still got several promo copies of this for review. I'd love to hear what you think of it. It was regularly a laugh-out-loud and have to do a retake kind of narration for me.
23 hours of fun across 2 books.

This is one of my very favorites I've voiced in the last couple of years.
What would happen if Elizabeth Bennet was being coerced into marrying Mr. Collins? Obstinate, headstrong girl that she is, she wouldn't stand for it of course. In Beth Massey's delightful Romp, Elizabeth runs away TO the one person she thinks might possibly help her... but she arrives dressed as Eli, and Darcy finds himself supporting the ruse as an excuse to stay near her... him? Pronouns get confusing in this one (part of why I love it!)
Eli... Elizabeth? You'll love this one.
I've got US & UK codes for anyone who's willing to leave an honest review. DM me to claim one, and Happy Listening!
Elizabeth Bennet has an... interesting talent when she paints... And Mr. Darcy wants someone to paint Georgiana's portrait, but Miss Bennet refuses.
A fascinating variation with a touch of the paranormal.
Free codes available for audiobook reviews.
