Latest found footage analog horror video - The Basement Below!

This is a fully 3D rendered found footage video I created. I’ve created a couple other on my channel which aren’t linked together, but are still a good watch.

Each project I do I try learn new skills, so my next video that I drop is going to be the start of an actual series I’m creating.

If you enjoy this video any support is appreciated thank you.

Need help with what audio to use, something monster like or no audio? Also, what are people fed up with in the genre when it comes to audio from entities? see description for more context!

I'm currently working on a new short found footage video, currently at the audio stage and can't decide what to do, because I want to make a series out of this particular project I don't want to give away too many details.

For context, this entity is obviously human like but not quite right, I want to know what a lot of people maybe hate and like when it comes to audio for monsters, would the shot feel more unsettling with no audio from this thing or some awful weird sounding noises? Or potentially trying to speak like a human but it isn't at that stage when it can properly.

I've created and posted a few of these found footage videos and feel like audio is something I should work on.

Any advice is welcome genuinely curious on people thoughts on audio in these kinds of videos. thank you.

Another short snippet from my recent video - The Basement Below! Fully made in 3D, Check it out Full Vid linked below!!

Full Video Here - https://youtu.be/aou9qjuv38o?si=SjAGiTYVMULAJvhX

Hope you enjoy, this is a shorter video than my others, but I finally have 3d characters that can speak to the camera and look somewhat realistic aha!

There's a lot more that happens in the main video, and feel free to leave some feedback!

HELPP!!! Ray Traced Shadows on metahuman causing sharp shadow.

Hi guys hoping someone can help me with this it's quite minor but has been bugging me and I've tried these console commands

r.Raytracing.Shadows.EnableTwoSidedGeometry 0
r.RayTracing.Nanite.Mode 1
r.RayTracing.NormalBias 1

and still have this issue. I'm using a spotlight close up to a metahuman almost like a vlogging style angle that's why its so close up.

The images show both when I have ray tracing shadows enabled and disabled on my spotlight, the sharp shadow across the neck on the first image is the issue and it shows up on the face and hoodie aswell every now and then, (this is the most prominent bit you can see it) when the metahuman is moving but its not coming from anything.

I'll be awa from my pc for a week but if anyone has had this issue and has some ideas how to fix that would be great thank you!

EDIT! - Major dumb moment from myself but I shall leave this here in case someone else make this mistake, tho it was very stupid on my end, in my spotlight settings I had "Source length" and soft source radius" up really high for some reason and putting em back to 0 fixed it!!

Thought on this as a “monster” for future 3D projects

So without going too technical w the software I use, I was testing the limits of this thing in unreal engine called metahumans (just realistic humans that you can create quite easily) and realised I could distort a lot of features and then animate the face to be open and uncanny, even giving fully black eyes.

For future projects I think making these kinds of entities/monsters could be fun and I know how to do them now and animate them. But I’m just curious on people thoughts on it, and if it looks decent.

My only other topics on my mind is finding the right setting/story to put these human like entities into if anyone has some ideas or places I could research for inspiration.

Thank you in advance!

New found footage video “The Lower tunnels” releasing 6pm UK time tonight!

https://youtube.com/@biff3d?si=Ojdqu8sR\_XkQkcLx

New found footage video I’ve made will be uploading later on, this one is 4mins 30 so quite a bit shorter than my other but it’s a bit faster pacing so if anyone tunes in then I hope you enjoy!

Working on another found footage video with a different story at the moment, but still want to give this a push for anyone who might enjoy.

This was made inside unreal engine so it’s all 3d rendered for anyone wondering!

Some hidden things in this video, and I will say theres a few shots in this where the monster is hidden if anyone can spot it before the “reveal”.
