Base advice needed.

Hi! I’m kinda new to makeup and I think I’m doing something wrong because my foundation keeps looking patchy and sometimes builds up weirdly on my skin 😭

I have oily skin. My routine is:

  • lightweight water-based gel moisturiser
  • wait a few mins
  • apply L’Oréal True Match foundation using a steel spatula
  • finish with Faces Canada setting spray

Sometimes it looks smooth at first but then gets patchy or cakey/builds up in certain areas. Am I layering products wrong or using the wrong techniques/products together? Any tips would help. Pics from the internet.

I may have a slight Lindt problem

At what % does dark chocolate become actual dark chocolate to you?
