We were watching fireworks near Denver Colorado at 945 pm on July 4th 2026. There were what to appear to be lights that turn on and off with erratic flight patterns. Is this something more obvious that I’m missing? Forgive the loud noise of the dude screaming in the background.
I recently came into a large lot of straight razors. I know some are antiques. I handle Estate clean outs and these were all in a box. I want to keep the one that’s in the best condition and use it as my daily shaver. But I haven’t the slightest clue on whether these are just junk or if any of them require extra time and care for restoration. I deal with a lot of antiques and this is a lane I am very unfamiliar with and I don’t want to have one of these restored if they have historic value attached to the etching. I know I could probably spend the next couple days researching each one individually but business is very busy during this season and I’m constantly moving around. I just don’t want these to not get the attention and care they deserve if any of these are collectors items. I try and take what little spare time I have to make sure acquisitions like these get properly cared for so that they never end up in a junk drawer and forgotten.
I clean out estates for a living and stumbled upon this guy. The resemblance this too close to a mushroom but it feels like solid wood. The over all details of this make it look too natural and complex to be a carving but I’m unsure. Was this actually a mushroom or is it just some wooden carving?
