Subfloor leveling for LVP

First time attempting!!

What’s the best way for me to level this? It’s incremental throughout the floor. There’s a little more than a 1/8th gap where it meets the wall. I’ also noticed the gap isn’t as big when I use a 4’ surface level.

Do I just use up this thing of Dap patch I have to try to level the low spots?

I know self leveler is an option but I’ve seen mix things about how to use it.. Do I need to caulk all edges and Intersecting boards that it’ll run over?

I’ve watched so many YouTube videos but idk where to start tbh.

Tools I have: orbital sander, electric Planer, wood screws for edges.

Any suggestions on LVP flooring?

I’m looking for LVP flooring in the Triangle area. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with local
suppliers? This is for my
Primary residence.

(Outside of Lowe’s and Home Depot…)

Did I cut the joist?

I had some rotting wood and tried to cut some of it but did I cut the joist?

I’m DIYIng to put down some LVP and after ripping out the carpet I saw this raised dark spot, assumed it was water damage since it was under the window.. I started cutting it out and I’m second guessing myself now..

Hardwood?

Is this real hardwood? The living room and into the kitchen has two different woods... The 2nd picture is the edge(removed trim from fire place). It’s looking like real hardwood to but I can’t tell.

3rd picture is a separate part of the home. I’m not sure about this one.

We plan on refinishing the floors so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! We like the look of white oak.

Edit: some pieces I found in the garage:

SOS didn’t wire the money!

We close tomorrow(Monday) and did not wire the money to our closing attorney. We weren’t told to do it beforehand and just didn’t know (my mistake). Our closing coordinator in a previous email said that if the amount over 10k then we would have to do a bank wire (cashier check is out of the question).

Our final walk through is at 9am tomorrow and our appointment with the closing attorney is at 11am. We plan to send the wire over as soon as the bank opens but what happens if the money doesn’t hit their account on the same day or on time?

Delaying closing to sign all of the paperwork would be really challenging because I have a hard time getting PTO at work, especially without at least 4 weeks’ notice.

Edit 1: Thank you everyone for the reassurance! We will be at the bank bright and early tomorrow! I’m going to call the attorney tomorrow and see if they’ll take a cashier’s check. They gave us instructions earlier this week to call them before wiring and I don’t want to get scammed 😅

Stairway remodel ideas?

We’d prefer it not to face the front door. We were thinking about a 3 step winder but not sure if it’ll be weird with the column placement… clearance from first step and door is 3.8’

Any ideas on what I can do to this stairway would be appreciated!
