Being in year 2 of a system is going to give the Bears a top 5 offense.

This offense is on the verge of greatness. They were a top 10 offense last season and should only be better this year. 6th in total offense, 3rd in rushing, 10th in passing, 9th in scoring, and 1st in fewest turn overs. Having a full season and now 2 off seasons to digest and master Johnson's offense is going to push them to another level. Even though I'm an old man and I don't mind great defenses, I've spent decades waiting for an offense like this.

What an exciting time to be a Bears fan!

For those that don't belief in God, what would be the absolute minimum evidence you would need to honestly question your position?

Thank you!

Trusting God is such a gift in times of hardship

I've been hitting the Book of Job up pretty hard recently and it's brought such comfort! It's a simple message and sometimes it's easy to overthink Scripture. Trust God. That's it. It doesn't need to be more than that. "Trust God." is a phrase that just by me repeating it to myself has helped enormously.

It would be wonderful to know what's around the corner, but since I don't, I'm just going to trust.

My wife of 18 years has left. I respect her wishes and support her with her decision. I don't need any Scripture about what are acceptable divorces. What are some verses though to help me get through this?

Blindsided yet not. Heartbroken for sure. It's a long time to share a life with someone. It's amicable enough so it won't be ugly. Just painful. Damn does it hurt. We both want the best for each other, but you can only push that boulder up the hill so many times before you just have to let it go.

Any verses or prayers that I can read to help me through this would be appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

God bless.

Is the differences in opinions when it comes to good works just mental gymnastics?

Whether good works are required for salvation or a sign of one's faith, are they not thus integral to being a Christian? No need to give me the analogy of salvation being the root and it's fruit good works as it still speaks to good works being present.

One side believes good works and faith work hand in hand for salvation. The other side believes faith alone saves, but that a sign of healthy faith is good works. Doesn't that then mean in order to be a part of Jesus's flock and be saved you must do good works in one way or another?

Thank you and God bless!

Apollo is the best fighter in the entire franchise and lost to Rocky and Drago because he aged out.

Apollo lost the second fight because he punched himself out trying to KO granite jaw Rocky, but also because the first fight took so much out of him. That's really the only explanation as he trained hard while Rocky kinda half asses it until close to the fight. In the real world, boxers get old real fast and Rocky and especially Drago caught him well past his prime.

A prime Apollo beats a prime Ivan and Victor Drago, Clubber Lang, Rocky, Tommy Gunn, Mason Dixon, Adonis, Thunderlips, Spider Rico, Mac Lee Green, Billy Snow, Big Chuck Smith, Bobby Judge, Dipper Brown, Ricky Conlan, Damian Anderson - He beats all the big named fighters.

Rocky had it right. Time takes everybody out. Time's undefeated.

Nikki doesn't deserve the hate. She actually portrays a young person caught up in it all really well.

I get not putting her at the top of your list of favorites, but as a character I think she's perfect. If you are a young person coming from a good home and you are exposed to the lifestyle the Cody's have, it would be easy to get sucked in and not actually know how to navigate it. Having her be anything but a naive young person in over her head would be unbelievable. She's a good counter balance and reminder to how a vast majority of people would not be well suited for their lifestyle.

Love people the way Jesus loves us and you will find many who love you back.

I have found that through my Christian actions I've become well liked, but very few people know I'm Christian. Everyone likes someone who works hard, is kind and generous, smiles, and cares about them in a genuine manner. Acting as Jesus would act has led to popularity and good working relationships, but like I said, very few know I'm a Christian and a man of deep faith. That's the key. Let your actions speak for you. They don't need to know anything else unless they ask and even then don't pounce. Let them come to you.

How can Christians convince the masses that our faith is a spectrum of beliefs rather than one completely unified one?

Obviously there are certain core pillars, but there is much that differs amongst the flock. This isn't a question of which denomination is right, but rather how do we combat stereotypes?

I'm a man of deep faith and have been for decades, but I often preface my comments when I tell someone I'm a Christian as some assume that means I'm a Christian Nationalist who hates the Gays. How do we get others to understand that Christianity is far from uniform and that there are big divides amongst us? How do we lift up all voices within the faith to communicate that spectrum of beliefs?

Thank you and God Bless!

Ecclesiastes is my favorite book of the OT. I find it comforting. It's only depressing if you lack faith.

The key is to not take it as an excuse to be part of a death cult. Enjoying the little things and letting go of this world for something greater doesn't mean I run towards death. Serving God is not something I wish to shorten the duration of even though it's hard. Ecclesiastes provides comfort and guidance during that hardship.

It doesn't feel ideal, but suffering really can bring you closer to God. God is the rock you hit at the bottom.

I've never known a life without faith. I was baptized and raised in it and though I've had moments of anger and frustration with God, I've never have thought He doesn't exist. A childhood of terrible hardship was only navigated with God's help.

I can't walk in the shoes of an atheist. It's impossible for me to think of a life without God in it. How would I have functioned and survived without the guidance, strength, companionship, and comfort He provided and still does?

I guess I just want to share that I'm sure for some hardship can drive them from the faith as they will question how can there be a God when they suffer so greatly. For me, someone who has suffered gravely, God has been the constant that kept me afloat and still going. God didn't cause my suffering. Instead, God walked beside me through it and that's an amazing gift.

Thank you God. I wouldn't be here without you.

Browns to Baltimore. Cardinals to AR. Rams to LA. Raiders to Las Vegas. Oilers to Tenn. Colts to Indy. These are actual examples of teams moving and requiring a name change or even someone caring.

Unless you are a season ticket holder, this shouldn't matter to fans or at least no where near as much as it does. It's not that far away.

For the tiny minority that claim they will stop following the Bears, you will soon explode from the amount of shit that's inside of you. The Bears are on the verge of sustained success. Star QB and HC, a young roster that just is getting better and better, and a healthy cap is what you are claiming to be turning your backs too.

I call bullshit. Like not just from one steer, but rather like an entire freight train of cattle all shitting in unison level of bullshit.

I'm going to show my age, but there's a Monty Python sketch where someone ate so much at a restaurant and is offered a wafer-thin mint that causes them to explode. That's the level of bullshit we're talking about.

It's a fantastic time to be a Chicago Bears fan! Woot! Woot!

For me the most enjoyable way to be a fan is to not spend money on the team.

It doesn't matter where they play because I'm just going to be watching for free on my laptop. Jersey prices too high? I'm unaffected. Product on the field is suffering? That's ok because my lack of investment doesn't require a return.

I love those silly motherfuckers and have for 4+ decades through all the ups and downs and that will never change. They could share a stadium with the Colts and I'd give two shits.

I've found that if you aren't a stereotypical fan that you will enjoy sports a lot more.

Do you feel like your state suffers from brain drain?

I have a friend from Alaska who says his home state suffers from brain drain. Obviously broad brushstrokes, but he believes a majority of talented people leave if they can.

I love Bivol. He's my favorite current fighter. I get why some would find him not as entertaining and I like a good banger too, but his style is beautiful to me.

Even today's fight where he wasn't at his best I found it wonderful to watch. He's just so smart and fluid in his actions. It's a shame he's getting older and there are more fights behind him then in front of him. He's definitely one of the best of this generation.

As someone who has known nothing but faith, I can't imagine what it would be like to find faith later in life.

My Mom baptized me and raised me as a Christian. I've never doubted God's existence regardless of the hardships I've faced. Honestly the hardships are what strengthen my faith. God wanted me to hit rock bottom because He's the rock at the bottom. If it wasn't for God, I would have been completely alone for most of my life.

I've only known a life of faith and I honestly can't walk in someone's shoes who found it later in life. For those that did, what brought you to God? What's kept you in His embrace? What was the switch that flipped where you knew?

I read accounts of people who pray and pray and question their new found faith because they feel like they are just talking to themselves. I tell them that God isn't a genie and that they should pray to give thanks and show gratefulness and that what you ask for matters. Pray for the strength to endure, guidance on how to proceed, comfort, and companionship and I guarantee you will feel God. Even though I know my suggestions are sound, I could see why someone who is new to faith may question it.

Anyways, it's just so foreign to me that I'm curious about other's paths to God and what kept you on it.

Thank you!

I've never succeeded in bringing someone closer to God. At least not that I know of.

(Muhammad Ali vs Chuck Wepner 1975-03-24) The Fight that inspired the movie makes the fight scenes a lot more realistic for the times. Wepner takes a fair number of straight jabs and shows pretty horrible defense.

I love Rocky. It won Best Picture the year I was born and I think it's a movie that many don't remember because of the rest of the franchise. The fight scenes have always seemed a bit unrealistic with liberties taken to make it more exciting for a movie, but from watching the fight that inspired it all, the fight is actually closer to reality.

One thing I noticed is how both Ali and Wepner are pretty dirty fighters. Ali likes to push Wepner's head down while Wepner likes to hit the back of Ali's head.

Anyways, if you've never watched it, it's worth it as it is the fight that inspired the franchise.
