Our first date was on the 4th at a friend's house party so I had an idea to recreate it again. We may be in a new place, but our love and friendships have become bigger and expanded over time. To good friends, good food, and good sights! 🎆

Hi all! I just wanted to share my tip and tricks for a budget wedding! I do know it's been a while since my husband and I became betrothed in 2019, but some of the techniques definitely helped with giving the best ceremony and reception possible. :D
Wardrobe, $300 on all outfits pre inflation, this was one of the easier places spent on. I did measurements for my husband and I. We did have to alter my husbands slacks. I didn't quite get the right measurements that was around $30. Our theme colors were our favorite colors, Green and Blue, specifically OD green and dark blue, the floral crown was to match both of our colors. Brides maids got to pick out their own dresses, and the groomsmen got to pick out their own dress shirts.
Venue, $150 since this was an outdoor venue, it was a very reasonable price, only $100 for the ceremony location and $50 for the reception location. It was overlooking a river and really had some fantastic shots. The reception was near the park nearby it was great for the kids because they could run around and have fun! I would suggest having your wedding on a weekday but I know some can not attend that but it definitely reduced the price of the venue.
Food and Beverage, $600 we went all out on food and drinks pulled pork and brisket and mead for the drink of choice still have a bottle saved for a special occasion. Sides, of course, i.e., salads and light desserts. The wedding cake was made by me at about $150 3 tiers sponge cake with raspberry cream cheese frosting topped with a chocolate ganache.
Music, $0 my husband had this covered by owning a speaker, and we used Spotify to make a list.
Photography $50. My sister did the shots, and we just paid to get them printed for our album.
Decorations $100 fake flowers except my bouquet $20 most items like card box table cloths were bought on Etsy.
Officiant $50 we wanted someone who was just as free spirited as my husband and I. This was really important to us not having a traditional ceremony.
Honeymoon $500 we went to the hotsprings and did our favorite activity and went to concert!
All together, 1.7 K now with inflation prices this would be more likely 2 to 2.5k
I like to write, sing, and bake. Active in the close-knit community and have a strong moral compass I don't put up with others if they mistreat others. I would like to think I'm funny but eh depends on others taste.
