18-35 Progression

Here it all is on paper. Enlisted infantry to law firm. Man there is a lot of pivots, second guessing, missed opportunities, regrets, losses, wins, life experiences, and incredible people all hidden between those numbers.

Sometimes I see posts on here and feel really behind for my age, but money isn't everything I suppose. I've done a lot and seen a lot, and I find value in that were I can.

No more student loans, but 401k is relatively small at $50k. Ultimate goal is to retire as early as possible. Hopefully things take off and it'll all even out!

What Should I Do Next?

Loving the mod. I'm running HD stuff and AI uses Pop sub mod. This is my second campaign, and I've had a lot of fun with the Kimbroz.

In this run I pretty quickly absorbed my german neighbors, and transferred capital when I took the Sweboz. Then Iceni jumped in after a Celtic coalition declared on me, that was the roughest point. I smashed the coalition (liberating every time I take something in haul) since they were just one city factions, then snuck in my kings army to London and took it.

After Iceni sued for peace I consolidated and set 2 armies to Britain. As soon as I could declare war, I blitzed the island and took it in like 3 turns. Something happened to the AI, because every enemy army on the island was suffering heavy attrition and almost gone for some reason. Latest war was another coalition of my Lugeoz(?) brothers and dacians, and I have pushed my borders fighting them almost to the black sea.

I doubt I'll play through a victory condition, as they take too long and the game is already well over by that point.

That said, can you help me come up with a victory condition/what else to accomplish to tie this one off? And reccomendations for another fun faction for the next run? My first run was Rome of course.

Thanks!

Germanic Reccomendation

Think I've about finished my first Rome playthrough on DEI. Loved the mod so far. I'm running HD packs, and the population mod, along with 12 TPY.

As Rome I took all of Italy, Sardinia, Sicily, and Carthage's africa province, with remaining Carthage and Masilla as clients. I think I'm calling it a day as I don't see anyone else being a threat going forward, and end turn is starting to take forever lol.

With that said I'm looking for a more challenging run, and I want to try a Germanic faction. What is your favorite and why? What difficulty should I go for? I did rome on Hard/normal

Also, as a bonus, what barb faction has the best heavy melee cav?

Thanks!

Tow Set UP Check

Just wanted to get a check from the tow police. We bought the camper this year and tows fine usually, last trip though the wind was throwing me around a bit. Wanting to make sure it's safe!

Ram 1500 Hurricane, payload 1614lbs. I have a WDH

Micro Minnie 1800BH, 22ish ft I think. Usually drive with full tank of water (30ish gallons I believe).

Cargo in truck: myself, wife, son, 1 dog, food/drinks in cooler, generator (100lbs).

How am I looking?

My New Garage Gym Marketplace Haul

Here's the setup.

Rack

  • Rogue RML 490 (with extra 43 inch crossmember for stabilization I'm guessing?) 90in x 43in. Bigger than I wanted but it fits in the garage

Bench

  • Rogue adjustable bench 3.0

Bars

  • Ohio bar black cerakote
  • One cheap beater Olympic bar, not rusted just assuming it's cheap
  • One black Olympic curl bar no idea brand

Weights

  • 250lbs cheap amazon bumpers
  • 250 pounds urethane troy irons
  • 2x dumbells, 35lbs, 25lbs, and 10lbs
  • No I'm not strong enough for that yet lol. My old max used to be 500 squat so maybe one day.

Other stuff

  • Rogue dip bar and belt
  • Rogue pull up bars, 2x. One of them with skinny and fat combo, and then one just fat
  • 4 rogue barbell collars
  • Pin and pipe safeties (I hate it, want straps asap)
  • I'm assuming regular monster lite j cups

Feel great about the setup. There's some scratches in the black matte powder coat, but no rust or anything crazy. Bench looks in good shape with just a few blemishes in the pad. Ohio bar cerakote is flawless but ends are a bit scratched. All in $1200 bucks. I have a few hundred leftover in the $1500 budget. What other must haves should I look out for?

Help me choose a rack

Former lifter here. I'm 6 foot 3in, 230lbs. Old max was 325 bench and 500ish squat. I haven't worked out in years so I'm nowhere near that now, but hopefully get back one day.

Looking to build out a garage gym setup, and want to start with a power rack or half rack.

Right now I'm looking at 3 options.

  1. Titan X3 - $1400. 4 post rack, 90in tall with 36 depth. 3x3in 5/8 holes, 11 guage. Added key attachments including lat pulldown. If I go with basic pulley it drips to $1200 or so.

  2. Force My bench - $1100. 4 post again. 12 gauge steel and Weird sizing and holes so locked in to the eco system. Added lat pulldown and necessary attachments.

  3. Mikolo k6 2.0 ultra -$599. 4 post budget rack. 2x2 14 gauge. Comes with aluminum dual crossover pulleys and all attachments.

What are your reccomendations? Titan would max my budget. Mikolo obviously cheapest by far but worried about outgrowing it and safety. I'd be lifting alone in the garage, so want something I can trust. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey y'all! Just upgraded my wheel/tire setup on my 2025 forged blue Laramie 1500 night edition. Swapped the factory for 285/70/18 all terrains and new wheels (now I gotta figure out the best way to sell the old ones, only 3k miles!).

The all terrain tires worked great in the mud and snow, but I'm getting a ton of rocks and mud thrown up at the doors. I'd like to prevent scratches so next upgrade is going to be some mudflaps.

I do go off road, nothing crazy like rock crawling but lots of forest roads and hunting trails with inevitable rocky sectuons. I looked at the husky flaps but I'm concerned that they are rigid, and if I come down off a rock and hit it it's going to break or cause something else to break. Reasonable concern? Any reccomendations for what you guys are running that works well? Also eventually plan on a 2-3in lift if that makes a difference. Thanks!
