Freak show alert! Watch the regeneration of a Planarian. More in description.
This is repost from 2 years ago btw.
What happened: I removed this planarian by sucking it off the glass (in my shrimp tank) with a syringe. In the process it got ripped into 3 pieces.
In this video you see just the head moving around but I didn't get to film the full regeneration of that one. It did however made it into a full worm again.
The second and third parts are shown after the chapter with the head. The third part did not make it but the second one also turned into it's own fully grown flatworm after 24 hours.
As freaky as this is, nature is soooo damn cool, isn't it???
Saltwater folks, help me ID the black anemone? I dunno where it came from, same with the white one. Since these 2 popped up after 3 years the Aiptasia population is dwindling. Which I don’t mind.
I printed myself a rose fountain for my little pond that’s surrounded by roses. I designed it so the water doesn’t shoot up and out of the pond and evaporates but actually agitates the water surface. Darn thing took me over a month to design.
Is that water hyacinth coming out at the end?? Suddenly after 2 years?
She also told me that I have a rat problem, which I confirmed this morning in the attic.
Not many people around me understand how dam tickled I am about this rare visit, but I’m sure I’ll find some likeminded enthusiasts here :).
I’m just gonna copy from previous post:
Miss BB ended up in that vase as a 1 day old fry when I transferred some plants. I had no idea until she was about 6 months old. The vase was between 2 tables and full of guppy grass, so I didn’t always look at it. Nor did I feed anything for those 6 months! I do now tho.
I tried numerous times to get her out of there, to no avail. It’s a 7.5 gallon vase and she is 3 years old by now. I just pulled out another load of guppy grass and left about a third of it in there. Miss BB ran out of room to swim. But she also keeps it all fertilized along with the snails.
There’s no tech xcept the light now that I moved the vase to a better visible spot.
The tall one uses a rope as wick with moss tied to it. The knot keeps the water from evaporating.
The purse is my scud purse. I top off once a week with bottled drinking water cuz this does evaporate quickly.
The globe is my windowsill pond and the little whiskey glass has Suesswassertang.

Rest of the setups are 3 year old demijohn, the bichir and ropefish tank, then the big one with cichlids, plecos and 2 crayfish, and lastly the vampire crab mansion.
