Why marriage:
I’m a strong believer in marriage as an institution and in monogamy. For me, marriage is ultimately about having one person who listens to you, spends time with you, cares about you and chooses to walk through life with you until the very end. (సముద్రం అంత ప్రేమ చూడాలంటే, జీవితం చివరంచుల్లోనే చూడగలం, అలా చూడాలంటే ఒక్క అమ్మాయినే ప్రేమించాలి 😄 ). Outside, all of us wear different versions of ourselves around colleagues, relatives, parents, friends and even strangers, often projecting the version we think people will accept. I want my marriage to be the one place where neither of us has to do that, where we can feel less judged, more accepted and completely ourselves with each other. It is all about building a life together, creating a family, growing as individuals while growing together, and knowing that there is one person beside you who genuinely feels like your person. Its a spiritual friendship of two people. Hence I took this responsibility of finding my partner.
A Little About Me
I’ve spent a much part of my 20's experimenting with my career, setting ambitious goals, making a few questionable decisions along the way, and eventually figuring out what I actually want. Today, I’m financially independent, building my career, learning new things and slowly becoming more intentional about the kind of life I want and build something of my own through my efforts rather than depending on family.
Financially: I'm more inclined towards saving and investing than lavish spending. Partly because I genuinely enjoy financial stability, and partly because I don't like being financially dependent on someone.
Socially: I'm an introvert with most people, but quite the opposite with people I'm close to. If I start teasing you regularly, that's probably a sign that I've become comfortable with you.
Culturally/Spiritually: I'm spiritually curious, but not particularly religious. I still enjoy Hindu traditions, visiting temples and spending time there, perhaps because of how I grew up. I'm still figuring out what I actually believe about God.
I enjoy being active like working out, yoga, marathons and walking long distances.
I actually enjoy shopping, although I buy one pair of dress while trying 10 pairs. (Bad at deciding) .I scroll Myntra like and instagram
I enjoy healthy debates about different topics and understanding why people think differently. I also like meaningless talk if I am talking to my person. (Rumours, Gossips, life, psychology, banters, reviews etc..)
I like listening to different kinds of music. I would have listened to a song thousand times but not remembered a single line from a song.
I enjoy travelling and exploring new places (given I have enough leaves and money). I like trekking and enjoyed surfing (planning to do it again).
I like photography, reading books and making/editing short videos. I don't get enough time for these anymore, but I'd like to get back into them. (Retirement goal is to do at least a simple film under my name as director and writer and DOP, touchwood.)
I figured out that I like dancing and singing (maybe my childhood nights spent watching Super Singer and Dhee dance show), but I haven't really found the right group of people who match my vibe. I go to dance floor on pub in office parties and sing in my room alone.
Things I'm still working on:
I'm not perfectly sorted person.
I overanalyse things, especially things that are outside my control.
I'm naturally reserved and have probably lost a few opportunities in life because I hesitated too much.
I'm a procrastinator.
I get attached to people and places easily.
I trust easily
I'm somewhat extreme in my approach to things. I'm either completely into something or completely uninterested. I'm trying to learn the middle path.
I get irritated when someone interrupts me while I'm deeply focused on something.
I'm sensitive, especially when something comes from someone close to me.
A lot of my motivation historically has come from guilt or fear( fear of dependency, stagnation or wasting my potential). I'm trying to replace that with healthier motivation.
Communication, especially with women, hasn't always been my strongest skill. I have had very few close female friends, so I haven't had as much experience understanding different communication styles. I'm aware of it and actively trying to improve.
What I'm looking from my partner :
Nothing too complicated:
Good sense of humour (I connect very easily through humour.)
Kindness and mutual respect.(not only towards me, but towards her family, my family and people around her)
Belief in marriage and monogamy( commitment, loyalty)
Honesty when the conversation is uncomfortable.
Willingness to work through problems instead of avoiding them.
Financial responsibility ( awareness about her family and her financial situation).
Mutual respect for each other's families.
Can think independently, financially, Socially, culturally
A willingness to keep growing individually and together.
who can try to understand and willing to adapt accordingly to conditions (without loosing her peace)
Have a pretty high threshold for teasing(its my love language)
Physically, I'm attracted to a good smile and expressive eyes, basic hygiene, dressing appropriately for the occasion and taking care of health and herself. and being confident in being herself.
Children: I want kids. I want to enjoy the fatherhood.
If anything here resonates with you, feel free to DM me.
Marriage is a long conversation - Friedrich Nietzsche.
Let's just start with a conversation.
Maybe we click, maybe we don't, maybe we become friends., maybe this becomes something neither of us expected.
And yes, this is basically my me and my thoughts while I am writing this. ( I may change in some aspects in some point of time and mindset but potentially you can consider this as me)
Let's see where it goes. Fingers crossed.
