Boss Sent Me a Rude Email

My boss is managing partner of the firm, and also my older brother. I’ve been an attorney with this firm for 13yrs. In that time I’ve seen it go from a handful of attorneys to over 50. Not once has he promoted me and I work around the clock. Anyway, the other day, he asked me to help turn a doc on an urgent basis. I agreed, made the changes, sent him the doc. He made some additional changes (in track changes) and it caused a small formatting issue. He then sent it back to me, and asked me to send him a clean and redline ASAP. I did so. Then I received the following email message:

“Did you even check the Word document and the formatting? This is assistant stuff that I should never catch.”

This really hit me poorly. In 13 years, he’s been extremely verbally abusive toward me. He treats me like his assistant. I responded to him and said I missed the formatting error, I was on a zoom and trying to get it for him asap, and he’s right - this is assistant stuff.

Not sure if I should continue with this firm or search elsewhere. I’m really tired of the demeaning comments from him. And the lack of appreciation- no promotion after 13 years, despite originating and billing millions of dollars.

Would appreciate any feedback.

Werewolves (2024) was Frikkin Awesome!

This movie was so ridiculously awesome. I’m not going to spoil anything, and will simply tell you the premise which they reveal in the opening credits - last year a supermoon caused over a billion people to turn into werewolves! This year the supermoon is coming again!

It’s such a wild ride, and I enjoyed every bit of it. I should note that immediately prior to seeing this film, I made the mistake of watching Abraham’s Boys - an absolutely terrible film that edges you with thinking you’re going to get a vampire film for 90min. Werewolves is the complete opposite in the best way. Highly recommend!

Have you seen this movie and what did you think?

Backrooms did not live up to the hype for me.

The first two acts were intriguing but it all fell apart in the third. Why were the people edible? Why show us so much backstory on the therapist for it to go nowhere. It really just collapsed on itself. Felt like a drawn out student film, which, it kind of is.

New Indie Horror - Saccharine

Just watched Saccharine and was pleasantly surprised. The acting, the plot, the use of practical effects - felt refreshing for an indie horror film. Haven’t seen any mentions of it on this sub so wanted to recommend it. If you’ve seen it, drop your thoughts below.
