So how many of your parents fell for timeshares?

I know a couple friends who are pissed at their parents who were duped into timeshares. I’ve learned that they will actually “inherit“ them, which is awful.

Looking for outdoor volunteer ops?

I’m an outdoorsy person who grew up working with their hands. does anyone have a great group they volunteer with? I have experience with large animals, some building projects, plenty of hiking and yard work. Thanks!

“Having kids to give them a better childhood than my own.” Or go to therapy?

this is the laziest excuse to have kids. What mental gymnastics occur to make this point? You want kids to prove that you can

  1. relive your own childhood, but better?

  2. be better than your own parents?

  3. prove that you have more resources than someone did 20-30 years ago?

  4. all of this is only possible by new birth alone?

To me, it seems like plenty of unmet childhood needs that can be addressed in therapy alone and SHOULD be addressed in therapy before being projected onto an independent living being with their own needs. Major parenting red flag.

Your desire to play club baseball in 1998 might not be your introverted artsy kid’s dream in 2026, bro.

Still struggling w seat

I’m never on my rear sit bones. I’m hurting SO much on the hollow dips outside my vagina. I’ve just gotten a new seat as well for my wider sit bones. Does anyone have any ideas?

people always share their financial, political, and environmental reasons for not having kids. they are all AMAZING reasons to NOT do something. I do not see a single reason TO do it. I’ve been a life long observer and catch onto patterns easily due to my neurodivergence. The statistics and patterns do not make sense for me — there is not a reason for me to have kids. I also can see people‘s dissonance in their own experiences to seem happier overall. my friends with kids are the most miserable people I know. The grandmothers who tucked me away as a girl always told me to be free and I see historically why they said this and it seems like women get sucked into the same lie every generation.

I have left and come back to cycling for years due to this pain. Just had my sit bones measured and it provides clarity. Anyone have seat recommendations?

edit: sharing weight because I have no booty :( No one has suggested sit bones because of my frame
