I picked up my bike 2 weeks ago. It’s been about 12 years since I sold my last bike so I definitely feel like a new rider.
I’ve been commuting to and from work, but today I had time to take a long ride up the California coast on hwy 1.
I stoped at Ana Nuevo State Beach to take a picture before heading home.

Edit: well everyone, I’m a dumbass… the previous owner of my bike installed a 1” ball on the right side handle bars. Up until last night I didn’t even notice it. I’m going to pick up a quad lock or ram mount this week and the adapter.

I want to mount an old iPhone to my bike to use for gps, but the options I’m seeing for handle bar mounts don’t look like they would fit.
What are you guys using for a phone mount?

I’m posting here because I feel like I’m “new again.” I sold my last bike 12 years ago because we bought a house and needed furniture.
I’ve had my M1 license the whole time, but I’m taking a safety course at the end of the month with my wife because she wants to get a bike.
Anyways, here’s my new bike. It’s a 2002 Yamaha FJR 1300
We have a few Cycle Gear stores near by and I already bought my helmet from them.
Just curious if there’s any good online retailers or local options in NorCal’s Bay Area that I should look at.
I haven’t had a motorcycle for last 10 years and I’m in the market to get another bike.
One of the bikes I’m looking at is a Yamaha FJR1300 it’s a 2006 but within my budget and I can pay cash for it.
My last bike was a retired Highway Patrol bike, it was a BMW RT1250 I think. I really liked that bike a lot but the Yamaha is a good deal so I’m leaning towards it.
Any thoughts on the Yamaha vs a BMW?
My wife wants to get her motorcycle license and we’re planning to take the MSF course together even though I already have my license.
Where I am in California the course costs $425 a person.

I downloaded the creation kit to my laptop and it loaded the CK into a separate folder called Starfield 2722710.
I copied those files and pasted them to my Starfield folder and the CK was working last night.
Today the CK keeps crashing when I try to run it.
Any suggestions on how to make it work?
I have tried running it as an administrator and that didn’t help.
