There is a program and panel discussion on Schizophrenia in Pune. If you're interested in attending then please DM so I can connect you to the person who has the details.

It is free and open for all.

I'm sharing it because the program is arranged to raise awareness about Schizophrenia and it's a great opportunity for those who can attend. I hope it is okay Mods?

Can you give me your recommendations?

I need simple (preferably cotton because of the brutal summer heat rn) long kurtis with atleast elbow length sleeves and no deep neck for work.

Why are they so difficult to find???

I do not need any fancy knots or sleeves or necklines or corset type things on it because I'm working in a setting with strict guidelines and also where I cannot have my clothes being uncomfortable or hampering me in any way. It needs to be the wear and forget about it type of kurtis. And they are for basic use daily so I really don't want to spend too much on them.

Please drop your recommendations! <3

Dr. Anand Nadkarni passed away today.

He wasn’t just a psychiatrist; he was one of the people who helped bring mental health conversations into mainstream Indian society long before it became acceptable to talk about them.

He founded IPH (Institute for Psychological Health) in Thane in 1990, built one of India’s most influential community mental health initiatives, worked extensively on addiction recovery through Muktangan, trained teachers/parents/corporates/police forces, and spent decades making psychology accessible in Marathi through lectures, writing, theatre, and public outreach.

Much of Maharashtra’s mental health awareness exists because he spent 30+ years doing the quiet groundwork.

If you are in psychology, psychiatry, or community health in India, he is absolutely worth reading about. RIP.

How do you guys negotiate your salary when starting work?

And how do you value yourself and your work in monetary terms?

Especially looking for answers from non-corporate people although all your replies are appreciated!

I posted exactly 1 COMMENT in this subreddit yesterday which was related to books (not even about any meetup) and I have gotten a total of 16 DMs from that. I'm still getting dms from it!

Whatever the fuck do you desperate freaks hope to achieve by sliding uninvited into people's DMs just because you think it's a girl?? Do you expect them to fall at your feet because you texted?? Do you think you're god's supreme creation and will stand out with your pathetic "Hi" "Hello dear" "Where do you live" "Wanna catchup" "Let's chat" in a sea of other messages which are exactly the same as yours?? Like what even is your end goal?? And then they will have the fucking audacity to also be completely surprised if you don't interact and continue to not understand to drop the conversation even when you SAY IT LOUD AND CLEAR.

And no switching my DMs off is not the solution to this because I am active in other subreddits where it is necessary for me to keep them open and I won't shut that down just because of these entitled people.

Basic standard etiquette - DO NOT DM PEOPLE UNLESS THEY HAVE EXPLICITLY STATED THAT YOU CAN DM! If you have something to say then reply on the post or comment itself or ASK if you can dm! How difficult is that to understand??

I've met some genuinely good people from this subreddit too (both men and women) and I'm sure there are a lot more but then the sheer volume of these dumbfucks is so much that it makes me want to not even be a part of this subreddit anymore.

It is nearly dawn and I haven't slept yet because sleep just seems boring compared to staying up and doing things right now. It's not that I'm not sleepy, my eyes are literally closing! But the brain doesn't want to power down and let go for a bit! Does that make any sense?

I have a break week right now and I am absolutely wasting it away doom scrolling.
