Watching me all day Marathon today on ION mystery. Watching the episode where James Caan guest stars! I loved him as an actor! Hey and his son interacted so great together in that episode! I really wish they could have done more together!
As contemptuous as their relationship appeared on the surface, they truly had a deep respect for each other and dare I say it, friendly feelings for each other. Shawn snuck around to solve a case that Lassie couldn't prove and tried to make sure Lassie thought he got all the credit for solving it. Even at the end, Lassie when given the opportunity to know for sure that Shawn was a fake psychic, chose not to know. How many other times did they show they weren't the contemptuous enemies they acted like?
Was just watching an episode of House. They played that song in the last scene of the show. Of course, all of us that have watched the show completely through know what two things I thought of as soon as that song came on. Now I'm off to have a good cry.
Re-watching this episode on get. This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. It really shows how much of a team they all are and how much they all care about each other. Shawn and Gus get involved in the investigation in order to help Lassiter who they're always bickering with and competing with. Henry, as much as he always acts like he hates what Shawn does, ends up helping out as well. Together they all make a great team.
What was the most surprising shock of character swaps between the then site characters with their 1967 versions to you and why? I think for me it was Henry becoming the coroner. Straight laced Henry becoming the 1967 version of the then coroner becoming Woody-like.
I had a brother that was 12 years older than me. He hated me from the day I was born. He terrorized me as a child but only when others weren't around to see what he was doing. When others were around, he played the role of the loving brother. He was finally caught by my dad who laid into him but good. After that, he just started paying neighborhood boys who were a couple of years older than me to terrorize me.
Fast forward to adulthood. Our dad passed away and a few years later our mom passed away. Almost immediately upon her death the terrorizing of me became full tilt. He was constantly calling me screaming at me about one thing or another. He called more than one job and complained to them I was using a work phone to call and harass him and got me fired repeatedly. He was following me and peeping in my apartment windows so often that the management of the apartment complex with several of my neighbors and the sheriff came to tell me that I had a stalker and I needed to take out a restraining order. I was financially in dire straights because he had me fired so many times and my physical and mental health were suffering.
I started plotting and planning. I called the police and telephone company to find out the exact number of telephone calls after both an individual and a business was told not to call again was considered harassment. I found out legally how I could record a phone call to be used in court as evidence if needed without being prosecuted myself. I found out what I needed as legal proof I had told someone they had been told to not contact me again.
The day came to sign the closing of probate paperwork with the probate attorney. I was prepared with a letter in hand to give to the lawyer to give my brother stating I wanted no further communication with him. I knew full well the lawyer would want to both read it and make a copy for his records which I happily agreed to because he would be the proof I needed my brother was told.
Now on to the next step in my plan. I had a machine given to me by the phone company hooked to my phone that after a harassing phone call you entered some numbers in the box and pressed a button and the phone company kept a record of the harassing phone number, date and time. (This is when people actually had home phones) I also had hooked up to my phone an old fashioned answering machine that actually used cassette tapes to record the call. I had ready package after package of new cassette tapes to put in the answering machine. All I had to do was wait for the lawyer to give my brother the letter. I knew as soon as he got that letter he would go into overdrive with his harassment. I was prepared!
My brother owned his own business that kept him away from home all day and had a cell phone connected to that business. I wanted to catch him harassing me on both his business phone and his home phone so that if necessary I could have him prosecuted for both. He called me first almost a hundred times that day after he got the letter. Every single time I would let the answering machine pick up, play its message in full and let it start recording before I would pick up the phone. That way my brother had legal notice the phone call may still be recording since I did not tell him I was turning the answering machine off. I would let him scream at me until I could get a word in edgewise then tell him I had already told him I did not want to hear from him further. I did this multiple times. Then I would hang up. He kept calling back over and over again. As soon as one cassette tape would fill up on the answering machine, I would put another one in. This went on most of the day. That night, he got home and started calling me from his home phone repeatedly. I waited until I had enough calls from his home phone for it to constitute harassment and then I gave him the definition of telephone harassment. I explained about the box on my phone and the cassettes I had been using and that I had all the proof I needed to send his sorry butt to jail and take him to civil court and own his house, vehicles, and his business. He said I wouldn't dare leave his children homeless and without their father. I told him I wouldn't be doing it but he would if he ever tried to contact me again in any manner, didn't stop intentionally getting me fired, didn't quit following me and peeping in my windows. I told him that if he ever harassed me again in any way I would have him put in prison and take everything he owned. I told him he would have no one to blame but himself. He agreed to my terms.
Its been almost 25yrs since then. If we show up at the same funeral, he soon leaves. If he hears I will be at the family reunion, he will not show up. If he comes and sees me there, he drives on by. He most certainly has never called me again.
All through the series including after booth and Brennan got together, Angela is making comments about how hot Booth is. She even went so far as to ask Brennan to see the naked picture Brennan took of Booth after Angela and Hodgins were together.
I know no one is going to like this but what if Angela and Booth had been paired up on the show instead of Booth and Brennan? Who would you pick for Brennan and Hodgins to pair up with instead? With a pair up with each other or someone else? I'm just saying that it was so common for lead characters if they were male and female to be paired up together that what if the writers had gone a different direction.
Gordon Gordon was one of my favorite guest characters.
It's so fun seeing Gus take charge at the comic-con. That's one time Shawn stepped out of his game into Gus's World to investigate and Gus put him in his place.

I know many of you don't have the DVDs and can't afford to pay to download Psych. Get TV is airing it weeknights starting from the beginning. Episode 1 is scheduled to air Tuesday night.
I think about how many times Gus and Shawn broke into places where they weren't supposed to be to gather evidence Shawn would later use as a psychic vision. They picked locks. They climbed in Windows. They did all sorts of things that could have gotten them in serious trouble.
Then I think about how hard it would be for them to do that today and get away with it. There are cameras everywhere now. There are cameras on cars. There are cameras in doorbells. There are cameras all around people's houses. There are flock cameras in neighborhoods.
They would be called in no time flat doing that today. Today trying to do that would cost Gus and Shawn their jobs. Gus could no longer work in pharmaceuticals with a criminal record. Shawn could no longer work with the police department breaking into crime scenes and potential suspects homes and businesses. Not to mention, people would have figured out that Shawn was faking by now.

Currently on is Mr Monk and the Daredevil. I think it just about broke Monk to think that Harold might be the frisco fly. As much as a shock as it came to everyone else you can only imagine the horror he felt.
Pretty much every day I see at least one post about I can't stand this character or the other. I have seen multiple posts about every character on the show at one time or another how somebody can't stand them. It's like a bunch of Negative Nellies. Please do both of us a favor that actually loved the show and confine your negative Nelly comments to one post about not liking that character. There are plenty of those posts on here for you.
