Help, is this truck lifted or not? 03’ F250

Hello I recently acquired this 03’ F250 super duty crew cab 6.0 power stroke diesel. Very happy with it overall. Got it with only 119k on it, and only use it for towing/projects. I’ve only put 500 miles on it and have done the blue spring upgrade. Done fuel filters and oil filter+ oil as well. Just getting used to her.*

I’m looking at upgrading the suspension/lift/sway bars and just trying to understand where I’m starting at. Ultimately I want to add heavy duty rear sway bars and upgrade the front sway bars for towing a camper or a much heavier boat (than pictured) around 7-10k dry/wet and around ~2600 wet in the bed when hauling the truck bed camper, separately of course. Any recommendations? I’ve seen Hellwig and will probably go that route? Are sway bars enough or are air bags also recommended?

Let me be clear, I’m not currently towing anything near the max payload, but would like to.

My main question for this post is about ride height and helping me figure out if this thing is lifted. See pics from ground to fender.

I do have larger 275/70r/18 wheels, which do rub, and I would like to fix, would a lift help them not rub? Do I need to buy spacers or something so they sit a little out? I think the original size is the spare under it that never got changed out and it’s sitting at 265/75r/16.

It measures 39.5” from ground to fender in the front and 41.5” from ground to fender in the rear. Which makes me think there is a two inch lift in the back and not the front? There are “rancho” shock absorbers in the back and it looks like stock in the front?

So am I right I’m assuming it’s a 2” lift on back but not front? The truck doesn’t look stanced out or anything to me, but maybe 2” isn’t enough to tell. Or maybe the wheel well is just different in the back? (But I thought they were pretty standard).

I know I’m not the first one out here to get a truck and have to figure this out. Please let me know what your thoughts are and what cheapish upgrades I should look into.

Towing experts, I have questions

I have seen enough on r/idoitstowingthings that I don’t want to make the same mistakes.

I’m looking at upgrading my towing capacity, herein lies my first question: I’m looking at a 2003 Ford F250 Lariat with 118k miles on the diesel 6.0 power stroke. It’s not “studded” and is pretty much stock as far as I know.

How reliable is that motor? I’ve read my own reviews but am interested what people’s fresh opinions are. How reliable is that motor for regularly towing between 9-11k lbs? How easy is it to work on?

I do all my own repairs and fluid/filter changes religiously on all my vehicles since I was a teenager.

I have a daily driver that I’m going to keep. So I won’t be driving this thing everyday, more like 1x a week more in the summer. and I’m looking at trading a toy that I don’t play with that is worth less than the truck is according to KBB etc. the person doing the trade really wants my toy but has no money and they want to get rid of the truck because of gas prices and maintenance, (they are a kid /teen and their grandparents gave them the truck) so I get it), and I really want their truck to haul a bigger boat. This would not be my first diesel, I’ve owned them and changed glow plugs etc.

I think I would be getting the better deal in the trade if we’re looking at straight across money and if everything was in perfect condition, but it’s a 20+ year old truck that is not in perfect condition.

Im also interested in buying a trailer and maybe offering hauling services or junk removal, that sort of thing to help bring in extra money.. anyone here start a hauling or junk removal service?

Thanks in advance Reddit!

Would you believe this is day 45 for my ‘severely underfed’ ladies?

Yall ripped me so hard like 10 days ago for these plants saying that they were severely underfed and not going to finish and were smaller than they should be etc etc.

Yall were so critical to be honest! Last post is still live.

I think these plants look great. My buddy gave me these cuts and said they would be done in 49 days, I think it’ll be more like 52 or more. So maybe if they were in bigger pots they might be happier and bigger, maybe even arguably healthier, sure! But I just transplanted these from cuttings to 1gal>2 gal and flipped em and I’m happy with the result.

I just used happy frog soil, build a soil dry amendments and compost, compost teas, a lil kelp teas, barley teas, fish emulsion (I made), FFJ and other stuff.

I’ll post an update when they are getting the chop as well.

2gallon pots,
2 650w Vivosun lights
Raymatix side clops
6in fan
All on the Vivosun E234a or w.e the controller is.

What would be the best fan for this space?

Hello,

We just bought our 1st home in March and are looking to get ceiling fans installed here. What you’re looking at is the ceiling in our living room, toward the back is where the bedrooms are and has normal height ceilings. Single story.

The reason I posted here is cuz I think this is a larger general heating and cooling question. We got a brand new HVAC unit when we moved in cuz the old one was going out and we could afford to with credits from the sale. So we got a same sized gas furnace and new AC.

The new units work great! Except one problem, I think they are designed very poorly and not working efficiently.

The intake is on the floor in this living room, 20x20, and we have output vents coming in from lower parts in the ceiling in the back bedrooms, and then also had them install a 10x8 output into the living room which didn’t have any output and is just under the picture here on the largest wall.

Here is my problem, yesterday it was 97 degrees and I set the ac to 76 and it couldn’t keep it cooler than 80 degrees in the home. All the windows were shuttered and I’m used to living with no AC so we collect the cold at night and try to trap it indoors in the morning.

Because the house couldn’t be kept below 80 and it caused the ac unit to run non stop for many hours before I noticed, I decided we gotta address the trapped heat in the attic and in the living room.

I’m buying a 16in automatic fan for the attic where the furnace is located to pull the hot air out of the attic, currently there is none. And then I will do the same in the garage where there seemingly used to be? But disconnected and looks broken.

I’m hoping that removing the 100+ degree air from the attic will do the trick but then that leaves my final and more long term problem, which is the major intake is on the floor in the living room and the vent is in the middle of the wall, so the coolest air nearest the floor is continually sucked into the ac, while the hottest air gets pushed around from the vent a bit up top.

I’m hoping that buying fans to install in this large living room ceiling space will circulate the air better and save us $$ in bills overall with the help of the attic fans.

Thoughts? Best fans? Best place to shop for fans? Thanks for any advice.

Reveg advice?

Yes, I know I put them out way too early, this is also my first year in this new spot and I’m learning the light paths on the property as I go. Next year they will be in a slightly better spot.

But for now, I have these ladies that are starting to look funky. My question really is, what do you think these plants will do? Will the middle frosty one stay in flower and finish up? Will they all finish up at some point in August/septemnber after a funky reveg growth spurt? What happens during a reveg?

I’ve only ever had one plant do it before and it just finished really early with giant light colas, if that is the case maybe I don’t mind because I can turn it all into bubble hash..

Orrrr I could plant some auto flowers and clones and just start over. What would you do? Thoughts?

Does Gary Payton yield well and make good hash?

Bubble hash*** I’m looking for what to run next and I think I wanna run this if it hashes well (from clone) Otherwise I’ll prolly risk it and run some more seeds.

Would you believe this is day 35?

Flipped on 5/1.

I’m honestly kinda in disbelief. My buddy said this was a “under 7 week strain” and I was like, “it’s gonna be done in less than 49 days, no way” he was like “you’ll see.”

And damn I’ve grown quick strains before finishing around day 55 but nothing like this. I honestly think I will be chopping these in the next 2 weeks. Day 46-52 is what I’m aiming for.

Praying 🙏🏾

Got my VPD dialed in. Time to launch! Add a lil trellising at the end of week three, lil defoliation as well.

Happy frog soil with compost teas and build a soil compost and build a bloom. Wish me luck as I embark on the latter half of this journey.

Indoor week three complete

Royal sap, made by a buddy. Grown by myself. 4x8 tent 2 645w lights, plus 4 Raymatix sideclops lights.

She prays everyday, is fed compost teas, build a soil products, and all the good stuff. Next week I’m going to do a Bokashi tea. They are drinking almost every other day.

I just upgraded my tent from the gorilla grow lite line to the pro with 2ft extension, and omg I feel like I have so much more room to grow now !

Hope yall are enjoying the season growmies! Been having crazy humidity swings lately.

Indoor week 3 almost finished.

Royal Sap; grown by me; should be about a 8-9 week flower. It has some beautiful purple flowers that will come in.

I’m going to finish this grow out, collect top bugs for jars and then do fresh frozen bubble with the rest/larf. Never washed it before so I’m gonna do a few tests as we get to finishing up to test how it washes. I also got a press from low temp I might press some rosin.

Follow along for the journey!

Grown in a gorilla grow pro line 4x8 with 2’ extensions; 2 - 645w Vivosun lights 4 - raymatix side clops bars; Vivosun 6inch fan and filter with WiFi controller plus some extra clip fans. We growing in the future now. I got sunrise/sunset features added.

Yes there are better lights but I’ve been growing under spider farmer/mars hydro for over 5 years and they do better than hps builds etc.
