Hey, I've been building dotmel, a site where you can share MIDI melodies and run beat battles. Just started the June Monthly Beat Battle and could use beat makers testing it. I will be also competing.
How it works: I drop a short motif, you flip it however you want and upload your beat with your social link so people can look you up when the battle is over. Community votes pick the winner. Nobody knows who made what until voting closes so it's purely about the music.

Anyone in here who wants to participate in a beat battle. Made a platform for beat battles so I am testing the format. There is a motif (MIDI melody), a description and rules for the beat. I am testing voting phase and if there should be judge so winner will be announced on Discord.

The beat battles are something I added because I wanted to give the community something to actually do together. During the upload you just highlight best 30 - 60 seconds of your beat and provide a link to you socials. No judges, no panel, just producers voting for other producers.

Now beat battles are open and in testing phase - if anyone wants to try it out, I opened a sample creation battle. You download a MIDI file, create a sample with it and upload it to battles contest. After submissions phase is over, voting is started and the sample with most votes wins.

How does it work? I open a sample creation battle, you download a MIDI file and create a sample in defined theme, upload it in the submission phase and battle other producers on dotmel.io platform. MIDI is free for download. Looking for your creations.
