Chazz, let her do her damn homework!

Yes, I understand that Branwin was high, and escorting, and potentially not the most likable, but got daym, when she was trying to do her Spanish homework, and Chaz just invited himself, sat and stared at her, asked her questions, and asked Siri to translate a compliment. She flat out told him she needed to do homework and he said he would just chill around her and not bother her.

If she had just reached over and murdered him, it would be justifiable homicide.

And I fucking LOVED that she wore the highest, most tottering shoes ever for her final meet-up with Chaz. She towered over him like an Amazon and he was Needy the Smurf.

Y’all, team Hilary

I get it, I get it, her “bougie” convo was total cringe, but I kinda dig that she is acknowledging how disorienting it is right out of prison and not absolutely groveling. I know she said yes to his proposal, but they ain’t married yet. I mean, when he was pushing her to include “love” in her text to her mom, and then she got real about her non-existent relationship with her mom, I felt for her.

And yes I absolutely would have been mortified getting a public proposal in stripper clothes, getting a toe ring.

Investigating Nikki’s dad’s health

Ok, so I know that the plot point of Nikki’s dad having/not having cancer is a load-bearing plot point — it shows FreakyNikki quickly grasping at straws to get Bear’s sympathy, it shows that Bear doesn’t know her that well at all if he doesn’t know that she really hates her dad, and it shows that Ian is a bit more invested in Nikki than he pretends to be. BUT In a normal situation, is that not crazy to try and track down if a guy has cancer? To the point of calling a hospital (which wouldn’t tell some random Joe Schmo if someone was or was not a patient)? Maybe the director is trying to show another little sliver of obsession in how Ian plays detective? Because it’s really weird, and the normal response to the situation would assume that deep down Nikki had some complicated feelings about her dad that are surfacing in the wake of a cancer diagnosis.

Granted, it does turn out to be a lie, but I find it odd that Ian and Sarah went to such lengths to find out if it was a lie.

Also, how long did they have that “cute” dating time before the dinner scene? A day, a week, a month? I can’t tell.

Help! Need good purifier recommendation for moldy classroom.

I started in my new classroom today, and yall, it is bad. I know how my body feels after being exposed to mold, and I felt sick within 15 minutes. The room is carpeted (a science lab!!!!) and there were at least four very water damaged ceiling tiles, one with I’m pretty sure is hyphae growth. I was told the tiles were going to be replaced shortly (dear god, with all of that falling on the carpet) but that doesn’t mean the problem that caused the water damage is gone, and I have NO control over that.

Classroom is under 300ft, preferably not noisy since I will have to talk over it, preferably not over $500, and I do not need it to be “smart” (it doesn’t matter if it is, but I don’t need it to be). Would rather pay a little more upfront if it means getting a unit that doesn’t need incredibly frequent filter changes.

Signs someone is tweaking

So bunkies, help a lady out. Out of all the seasons, who are some of the most obvious people on stimulants/tweaking? I can tell opiate abuse, but reading through posts, I’m having a hard time telling who is clearly high vs. high strung and over dramatic.

Mostly it’s because I’m getting a little paranoid because I have a lot of motor tics, partly due to spinal cord damage and partly probably associated with my ADHD, so I’m definitely “twitchy”. But I’m pudgy and coherent when I speak, so at least I have that going for me . . .

Calling a convict “mom” vs calling one “dad”

Sooooo there have been multiple examples of moms having kids call guys dad or daddy even though they’ve never met the guy (yes I’m doing a rewatch of season 3 with Shavel and Quaylon) but are there any examples of dads having their kids have a convict mom?

Edit: and if it’s not blatantly obvious, I think both scenarios are horrible.

Worst one episode men — the elevator dad and Miranda

Been home sick so doing my millionth rewatch, and I guess I haven’t watched the episode in a long time, but as someone who was a divorced parent for a while, the fact that the dad just immediately inserted Miranda and hoped his kid would be ok with it, even doing a spend the night after a few weeks . . . dear lord no.

Out of all of the one episode guys, who do yall think are the worst? Pls, no Berger, no Richard, etc. I mean the guys who were in more than one scene but were never mentioned again.

Besides the farce of the reproductive subplot, I can’t tell if the writers are expecting us to believe that Park could actually be brought down by the USB or not. I’m not being passive aggressive, I genuinely can’t tell. Park is 2% of the GDP, she easily brushes aside threats from SNU, she has Woosh and her own husband killed, has already done god knows what with other shell corporations, but the USB was supposed to take her down? At most, some underling would have been made to take the fall, and she continues on her merry way. I think that IF the writers are intending us to understand that no matter what, Park was going to be fine, and IF Austin came to this realization, that giving the USB to the cops was pointless, it adds a little more depth to his decision to go back to Ashley.
